why the runner that ran into Wong while fielding the ball near 2nd base was NOT called out?

Because these people have lost their minds. It is the baserunners job to avoid Wong. He ran right into him. He should have been called out immediately.

That's pretty much a no brainer call. I'd sure like to hear the explanation he gave on that one.

Can anyone explain why the cardinals are back to their 2017 habit of giving up a hit or two to the opposing pitcher in almost every dang game???

Ozuna in LF, Fowler in CF, and JMart in RF could be the worst defensive OF in the history of modern baseball.
Fowler is just plain lazy! He 'glides' to everything instead of running hard to get there and the catch easily. Had he ran back to somewhere near the wall and looked up he catches that ball easily, no jump necessary! At least he's hittin a little these days.

Gotta be tuff for Ballgame to sit up there and watch. But it's all about launch angle and exit velocity now days. Glove and arm have little importance.

Then how does Schwarber ever get any playing time?
You're joking right? You do know he is actually one of the better defensive LF's in the game??

Expand the view outside a rookie catcher trying to learn LF in the 2015 playoffs or that same guy trying to recover from major ACL surgery in 17.

For reference so far in 2019

Ozuna's defensive metrics: -20.9 UZR\150, -3 DRS, -2.7 dWAR

Schwarber: 23.4 UZR\150, +2 DRS, +1 dWAR

Alex Gordon: 14.2 UZR\150, +2 DRS, +1.4 dWAR

Schwarber has 2 errors between 2018 &19. He also has proven it's stupid to even think about running on him

And just for overall baseball, how often is Matt Chapman, Arenado, Baez, etc etc shown on replays......because of their gloves and arms?

I'll add Fowler's -9.2 UZR\150 for more reference.

We must be watching two different guys. The guy I see out there is a hatchet man on a good day in LF.

You are not watching Schwarber then. There is absolutely nothing in his defensive game that anyone would call poor..... Unless you quit watching during the Mets game in 2015

He was the 2nd best defensive LF last year, only behind Alex Gordon

I must catch him on only his bad days. I’ll take your word on it.

I'll take Gordon over all of them...by far !

Oh, absolutely. Gordon is 5 star defensive outfielder.
I need some splainin on the call against Ozuna tonight. He ran IN FRONT of the defender, there was NO contact made, why was he called out? That should only be called if he makes contact with the defender trying to make a play on the ball. I've seen guys do a stutter step/dance in front of a guy trying to field a ground ball to disrupt him from making the play and not be called out for it.

Find a link to the play and post it for me. I didn't see it.
I don't have a link but I told you exactly what happened. He ran in front of the fielder and no contact was made. I think they said the umpire said he ran out of the baseline but the fielder did NOT have the ball when he ran past him so that don't fly. The runner is supposed to avoid contact so he might have moved over some to keep from running into the fielder but that what he's supposed to do if fielder is in the baseline trying to catch a ground ball.

Ok I will stand corrected on the Ozuna call. Just now on the game Dan said he asked Ozuna about it and he said the fielder did move his glove forward enough to barely touch his shoe so there was some contact. Couldn't see that on any replay they showed and it's not a reviewable play so they had to go by the the call on the field which apparently was right.

Ok then. Why wasnt the one 2 weeks ago where Wong and the runner collided called the same way???
