Cameron Wrestling

I hear that Cameron has a good shot at winning a state title this year. Anybody else think so? Think otherwise?

I am not from Cameron, but i have seen them wrestle and they are fully capable of taking the title IF one or two guys steps up his game.

Which two? The only werstler with less than a .500 record is Austin Bailey. McClure and K. Kellerstrass are undefeated. Blake Uthe is 33-3.

Cameron sent 10 wrestlers to the state this year and cleaned house at districts. If those wrestlers can compete that well in Columbia, then they will take state. They're my pick to win it, atleast fourth. I think Kemper Kellerstrauss, Blake Uthe, Jake Bates and Brian McClure will take state. The others it is hard to tell.

. . heard that Bates, Uthe, and 1 other wrestler got caught with alcohol on Sat. after the districts. Paid a lawyer to make it go away. Must be Coach Hopkins' boys.

Hopkins is full of integrity and he wouldn't pay a lawyer to make that go away. If it involved lawyers, then it involved law enforcement and police reports. It would have gotten back to the athletic director and he would have suspended them. Where did you get this crap story, anyway?

The way Cameron is wrestling down in Columbia, they probably will be state champs. Good luck to all of them tomorrow.

This rumor is bogus, Uthe and Bates butted heads during pratice that may have required stitches. A lawyer couldn't have done anything if it was true.

Why do you think Hopkins made this go away? Are you out to get him because it seems like you are. There are lots of people who will defend him. If that's the case, you'll have alot of people to go through.
