Camdenton to the CMAC conference!

Rolla turned down the CMAC. Looks like they will go independent but the Rolla newspaper reports the Four Rivers could be expanding.
That would be quite a size difference between Rolla and Herman. Although they did finish 2nd in the league this year as the smallest school by a large margin.
Not even the biggest difference - in the rest of the sports its New Haven.
Maybe Washington returns? Add them Waynesville, Rolla and Cuba then split by enrollment
Waynesville is in the COC now. Of course, that could change. The FRC would need to add a number of "big" schools to make this happen. Union and Pacific are the only ones even close to Rolla in enrollment. All the rest are half or a quarter of the size of Rolla.
I still think there's an outside chance the COC ADs and supts come to their senses and relent on the "Will Christian clause" to football scheduling. Maybe not, but they screwed the pooch with that idea.
Everyone that has been around schools or athletics in this area knows Coach Christian is one of the most respected, well liked men out there.
When it comes down to it The COC only really cared about getting Lebanon. If the others would come great, but I don't think any of those 4 get an invite if it wasn't for Lebanon.

That might be true. But would you really want one of your most hated rivals deciding who you play? Don't be silly.
Then what's the motivation for inviting the others? This just isn't true.
Patently false. Not even close to being true. They were excited about the prospect. Right up until the football scheduling thing threw a huge wrench into it all. You can choose not to believe it, but you're dead wrong.
Why not just get everyone in a room and decide on a football schedule? It doesn't make sense that 1 new school gets a sat but the other 3 don't.
COC could just fix all of these if they would just go east/west. 6 game schedule with 1 or 2 rotating cross over games. Schools could then have the freedom to schedule who they want in week 1 or 2 depending on the number of cross over games are played.
You'd have to ask the current COC ADs that question. I'd love to know that answer as well.
The better, and more judicial way, would be to have two divisions split by enrollment. But just for varsity. Sub varsity schedule completely different based on geography. The COC would more-than-likely be at 14 football teams had this been the proposal.

That's accurate. Branson's supt started that whole ball rolling. This isn't a secret. Why else would a school twice the size of almost every other school in the conference they created, create said conference? That's it. Swofford can try to spin it however he wants as far as transient population. But that's it. They can't hang with schools their own size. So they created a conference with schools around half their size.

That's 9-11 enrollment. It only grows as you add the senior class in. So my fault, only half the conference is half their size. It's a little tongue in cheek, obviously. Man, you get butthurt easily...Positive, maybe they'll finish above .500 in something. Anything. Maybe chess.

Crapitis. Camdenton will compete well in football, but man girls and boys basketball may be brutal for those teams!
Yeah, other than Cap City, that's some pretty tough sledding in hoops. I'd say the other 6 teams might average close to 20 Ws per year. That's tough.
What is the Will Christian clause? I see his name throughout these threads and various schools I am confused who he is and what he wanted and why one dude matters so much or why he at least thinks he matters.

Senior classes are the smallest class. So, if we're going off your letter of the law there, yes they would change. Granted, minimally, but hey you're the nitpicking rule-following OBTUSE dude here.
Like I said, Lebanon was the only school the COC schools wanted to deal with. If the others would except then they would have taken them ,but the COC was fine if they didn't. The only one they really cared to get was Lebanon.
OK yes that is very weird. Why specifically give the Lebanon AD a say but not the other 3 invitees? Do they want them or not? Why invite them at all if they don't really want them.
