Is it me or is the way he handles losing and playing bad the reason he gets a bad rap? To me, he dances and yells when he plays good, but pouts and throws tantrums when he plays bad. Man up and take the good with the bad....

I don't think how he handles losing was on display much before yesterday so I don't think that had much bearing on those that didn't like him before yesterday.

He didn't handle the loss that well yesterday but I think that will come better with experience/maturity. I might be in the minority but I don't think he is a bad guy.

Time will only tell. He sure does not look good at the present moment. Makes you wonder if the problems in college were more the "true him" or the PR generated person we have seen all season. If he learns from this and doesnt let anything similar happen in the future, his rep will be fine. But, its going to take some work.

I can understand the post game news conference thing, how many of us would be wanting to talk to a bunch of reporters right after that kind of a loss?? I don't think the players from the losing team should be required to show up to a stupid news conference.

What I have issues with is him not getting in the scrum to get the loose ball, its the Superbowl danget

Seems his teammates have an issue with that too. Wonder if that will carry over to next season. Gonna be hard to take back the stuff they're saying about him now.

I was dumbfounded when he backed away from the fumble. Not often do you see a competitive player especially one who is as big and physical as Cam not compete till the very end. My biggest and only problem with him is his chest beating in the media with the comments "nobodys ever seen anything like me". Uhm yes we have, Steve Young and if he wants it to be a race thing HELLO Randall Cunningham. His stats are eerily close to Cams. Biggest difference to me Cunningham was body slammed, face masked, closelined etc etc. QBs back in the mid 80s got hammered compared to todays QBs. Yards are different but close, passing TDs are even I think and Cam has more rushing TDs, wierd to me Cunningham stats show no fumbles his first five years(?) while Cam has 30 or so. The press conference aagh who cares he just got stomped who wouldnt be po'd? MVP, guess deserving but dont think Ive ever seen one play that badly on that big of stage..

I was really hoping after that hit in the end zone that Newton threw a fit about, Wolfe would have "dabbed".

Dude wants to be center stage during the good times but can't take the heat when they lose.

Blair Walsh may have had the worst moment in these playoffs. Yet he took it like a man and answered questions. Cam has some growing up to do.

That's is my point exactly. Cam would have been first in line and last to leave the podium talking if they won the game, but yet does not try to recover a fumble in the biggest game? What kind of leader does that? It is not a black or white thing. I think he is a poor leader and they will struggle to make the play-offs next season.

I think back to a few years ago when Kolten Wong got picked off first in the World Series game 4. Rookie stood in there with tears in his eyes and answered questions. I was so mad that he got picked, but gave him props for answering to the media when he could have Cammed the interview. I know it's two different sports, but pretty similar situations in my opinion.
