When I listen to someone talk about football, I'd like to think said person has at least laced up the cleats a time or two. That being said, I am aware not all commentators or announcers have done so, but at least I am not distracted by knowing this immediately.
When I hear that one female on espn broadcasting, I have to change the channel. To me, there's about as much credibility there as listening to some male do a tampax commercial.

My daughter isnt very understanding on this issue. But my wife understands that football is the only island left for men and it is sacred. Your rant was beautiful.
