Calpreps.com Missouri HS rankings by division

This is interesting. Nixa and Joplin in C6. Carthage, WC, Republic, and Neosho believe it or not rounding out top 20 C5.

Even as much as CJ has struggled they are still in the top 1/3rd of class 4.

I actually don't think CJ is a bad team they are just playing a conference that is larger and particularly good this year.

Very interesting rankings, and from what I've seen historically more spot on than just about any other lists.

And not surprised about Rockhurst that schedule is brutal, but their performance against Liberty North tells me all I need to know. Although I was very surprised to see them lose to Miege.

So far, the highest rated schedule in the state...No one is close to playing the level of teams they played for four of those games.
Miege is a prohibitive Kansas 4A favorite, Bentonville is shaping up to be a stronger Arkansas 7A contender than many of us who follow that state suspected and we all know where Liberty North stands in Missouri Class 6 so agree!

I love how they’re ranked higher than Ray-Pec, who’s 4-2 and beat Rockhurst head to head.

CalPreps is fun for debate and entertainment, but seems like they need to tweak an equation or two.

Kind of like MSHSAA's points system...Head to head losers finish higher all the time.

Just play up in class every week and you don't have to win that many to have a lot of 'points'.

Don't have to play good teams. Just play up.
I wonder what the record is for most district points. Blair Oaks may have a chance, they play up every week(almost) and beat most everyone by the max.

I'm just glad points don't keep teams out of the playoffs anymore. Home games are nice.

My senior year 1985 we went 9-1 on the field but ended up having to forfeit the first 3 games because a guy from our town transferred back home from a private school in St. Louis. It was legal for him to play but our school administration didn't turn in the proper forms in triplicate. We were devastated in week 4 when they announced this to us. It ended up actually saving us from an end-of-season heartbreak as we would have narrowly missed the playoffs due to the point system. Going 9-1 and not getting a playoff game would really suck.

Well, that’s MSHSAA.

I expect more from CalPreps.com

Body of work. So what if team A beats team B in week 2. Then in Weeks 3-6, team A loses to teams C,D, and F and team B beats teams C,D and F... THEN MAYBE the team has gotten better and SHOULD be RANKED HIGHER.
The computer doesn't care who it is...just performance relative to everyone else.
