I was wrong and I can admit it. California did however reduce the penalties for knowingly exposing others to HIV/AIDS from a felony and 8 years in prison to a misdemeanor and 6 months in jail, which is what I think I was remembering. So much fake news it's hard to keep track of it all.

Is reducing the penalty for knowingly exposing others to a deadly disease all that much better from what I had originally posted?
