California 49, South Callaway 40

The California Lady Pintos topped South Callaway 49-40 at the River Region Credit Union Shootout at Jefferson City High School on Monday.

California led 13-12 after the first quarter, but scored just one point in the second quarter to trail 19-14 at the half.

South Callaway knocked down a 3pointer to open the second half, before the Lady Pintos closed the game on a 35-18 run for the win.

KaLynn Irey and Tristan Porter each had 14 points to lead the Lady Pintos.

They split games last year. I would say South Callaway was probably favored, with them returning all five starters from last year's squad, and California losing three starters (two to graduation and one injured). But California's depth was advantage.
