C5#3 West Plains 30 - C6#3 Republic 54 (FINAL)

At least half of Repmos points are 2nd and 3rd chance points.
21-10 RepMo with 5 min left in 2nd Q

WP is forcing shots at the other end sometimes without even making a single pass.

Joyner with WPs first points of the quarter with 4:45 left in 2nd q.
Williams with her own after a steal in transition.
RepMo answers at the other end.

23-14 with 4 min to go in half

Republic leads 27-18 at half.

WP came out with a lot of energy and then just slowed down and idk. Just seems like they’re not playing with a lot of effort.

Very minimal offensive or defensive rebounding for WP.
They’re going to have to fix that if they want to make any noise in the playoffs.

I think WP path to the Final 4 is Rolla and Helias. Doesn't look promising considering Helias beat Republic. However, WP took advantage when they had the generational talent.

Watching the next game, it does seem like this Notre Dame team is overrated. Nixa is blitzing them.

I didn't hear her name during the broadcast and I saw the box score and she wasn't listed as a scorer. I also saw a girl playing for Republic tonight that I didn't see against CJ. I wonder what happened.

It is not happening this year. Team is a decent group, but not even close to the level of being able to compete with the big dogs. Wommack may have wished he just rode off into the sunset after their state title run.

I think they’ll win another district title and end up bowing out to Helias in the QF.
They’ve got Class 5 #7 Park Hill South on Friday so we’ll see how they bounce back.

Next years team may very well be better than this years.
Joyner will be returning for her 4th year as a starter I believe and Lawson will be returning for her 3rd year starting at point.

Dixon has been scoring more than I thought she would, but she doesn’t play defense so losing her won’t hurt as much as some think. The other graduates are all role players.

Biggest thing for them this year is that they won’t rebound at either end of the floor and their perimeter defense is just not up to the challenge.

Most high school teams won't have a chance to win state most years. All you can do is take advantage when you do have that team.

They could win a district title, but Marshfield and Rolla will be obstacles in that road. I just dont see it this year. Next year they maybe better. But time will tell.

I agree. I’m not saying it will be easy, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see them win another district title.

They’ve played Marshfield twice with both team getting a win.
They play Rolla a week or two before districts so that should give us a better gauge on that matchup.
Is their district @Marshfield this year? I’m thinking it is but I can’t remember.

The issue with districts is unless WP is the 1 seed they will have to beat both Marshfield and Rolla. If they can get the 1 seed they will only have to play 1 of them. The 1 seed is really valuable in this district.

If I had to guess, as of today, Rolla is 12-3 and West Plains is 11-5, but (in “my” opinion) West Plains has played a tougher schedule.
Matchups with Nixa(twice), Rock Bridge, Republic, and now Park Hill South as of this Friday.

Rolla has played a tough schedule too so, it may be even, I guess WPs has just been against 3 really good Class 6s, but just my two cents.

The conference matchup between them and Rolla is going to be important for seeding I would think?

The Rolla game will be huge for seeding. And that will be right around time of seed meetings. So hopefully they wait to see that game result before doing it

Rolla would be the 1 if the season ended now.

They should schedule games with district opponents earlier. CJ and Webb don't play until February 20th.

I checked and the Schatz girl scored 9 at CJ but she didn't start even though she was a starter earlier in the year. Maybe that has something to do with it.
