It's on the Twitter so it's true, former St. Pius (Kansas City) HC Rick Byers is taking his talents to the Kansas side and joining the Blue Valley North Mustang football team as an assistant coach.

He got no MO retirement for his years at St. Pius... They are a parochial school.

That's true not from Teacher's retirement fund but I believe the Diocese does have a similar pension program.

The last thing that I had heard was that he would remain at St. Pius as AD. If so. he would go to BVN as a coach only. I'll try to verify that if I hear more.
