This would appear to be 11-man replacement for Princeton moving to 8-man. Just curious will Polo follow suit? Or Maysville even with the Winston coop?

The remaining L&C schools with 11-man football (Fayette, Harrisburg, Westran, Salisbury, Scotland County(?)) are in trouble unless they want to drop to 8-man. If I’m the AD at Fayette or Harrisburg I’m looking south and trying to join the Kaysinger or the Show-Me conferences.

Have also heard that the L&C is meeting today to vote on membership for North Shelby and possibly other schools.

Not for football. I wonder if South Shelby is considering going to L and C?
It would be a logical fit if L&C is looking to stick with 11-man football.

However, I’ve heard from someone connected with the conference that Salisbury, Westran, and Scotland County are all considering moving to 8-man and Harrisburg is looking for a way out.

The 2022023 "MSHSAA enrollment" for Maysville + Winston is 167 (Maysville 130, Winston 37). Who knows what it'll be for 2023-24? But if it's above 150 it'll be an 11-man co-op again - unless the association changes its mind.

Marceline and Brookfield have been invited to join the GRC. Don't know if they've done anything as of today.

We are doing good. Have the whole clan back for the Holidays. The house feels smaller. Hope you have a Merry Christmas as well.

What’s the enrollment cap for 8-man?
And what is Maysvilles current enrollment?

I know about a decade ago before the co-op they were around 200(9-12) if I’m correct…

But I’ve been outta the loop with the wolverines for awhile now

PCole listed it earlier in the thread. Looks like over 150 with the Winston co-op (barely).

It looks Lewis & Clark moving towards being an 8 man league. Knox County and Schuyler County already 8 man, Paris and Scotland County moving towards it. Add North Shelby. Salisbury and Westran switch and you have an 8 man league. One that should end up being pretty good I would assume. Lewis & Clark always had some good Class 1 football teams over the years.

Fayette and Harrisburg I would assume would look at Show-Me Conference. You have to think it's about ready to sponsor football with Russellville and Linn starting programs and South Callaway as well.

Paris has already announced that they are going 8-man next year.

I had multiple sources confirming that Brookfield voted unanimously to join the GRC at their board meeting last night.

I posted in the other thread about this as well. Didn’t see your post so I apologize about that.

It’s what I heard as well. Salisbury and Westran have both supposedly said they will go 8 man to keep the conference together.

I talked with the Marceline Superintendent. He said that several other LCC schools have been talking about going 8-man. He did not mention who they are, but I believe that Salisbury, Westran and Scotland County are the ones that will likely go 8-man. He did say that North Shelby has accepted an invite to the LCC.

I think the last time Marceline and Brookfield were in the same conference in footall was 1970 in the old NCMC.
