Marcus Starks (who is 5'11" or 6' 0") high jumped 6'11" last night at Troy and narrowly missed all three attempts at 7' 0"...simply and amazing athlete!

Also...Hannibal's Aneyas Williams also was back on the track for the first time this season since having off-season surgery on his broken clavicle...and he ran well on the Pirate's 4 x 100m and 4 x 200m relays.

Both guys are big time stud football players who are also really good at track...great to see them compete!

Any word on the Monroe City speedster that was injured last fall?

Was very impressed with Starks when I saw him in the playoffs. Definitely stood out. Any idea where he is going to college?

He was injured in the fall. I probably didn't make that clear.

And no joey has forgotten all about the importance of track times this spring. It's a shocking turn of events.
He will be back for football this fall. Missed basketball and track. Stud athlete and has the size that colleges are looking for.

The community college correct? Is his goal to try and end up at a larger school for track? A 6'11 high jump would surely get you a look at D1. The best jumper in the Big 12 jumps 7'5. Is he also playing football there?

Heard he's going juco to get his grades up....big reason why he never signed anywhere for football. Not sure if he's going to try both there.

In case you were wondering, his younger brother broke the middle school high jump and triple jump records recently. High jump record was held by former 4 time All-American linebacker at Northwest Missouri State, Aaron Crowe.
