Borgia thanksgiving tourney

pacific handles STL Christian 61-32 to advance to finals versus a very good McClure North squad. The North stars wore out the Borgia knights in the other semi final. Cam Vanleer and Tom Hennessey need another big night for the Indians tomorrow.

Thumb, Speed and quickness kills and the McCluer Northstars has plenty of that. The Northstars outscored Borgia 19-0 in the third quarter. It is difficult to make adjustments to superior quickness however having skilled basketball players will help. The way I see it, only a " Pacific Die-Hard " would have the Indians as a favorite to win the championship @ Borgia tonight however other factors could play and shift momentum away from the Northstars.

Great battle back and forth w bodies all over the floor. 1-2 breaks decided the contest which ended 59-52 after some Free throws. Nothing but a great test that will make the Indians battle tested later in year.

This was a remembering loss for the Indians but necessary to compete with teams with great quickness in the future. Games like this will only help the Pacific Indians in a wide open district and sectional ( Parkway Central ) in Feb.

I think we had it 1-18 but it was a bad shooting night- and the stars had something to do w that. Most success was around the basket or at the FT line. But I might add it was probably an entertaining championship game for fans.
