Deuteronomy 10:17-19: “For the Lord your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords. He is the great God, the mighty and awesome God, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed. He ensures that orphans and widows receive justice. He shows love to the foreigners living among you and gives them food and clothing. So you, too, must show love to foreigners, for you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt.

Matthew 25.31-33 & 41-46: “But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left… (25.41-46)…“Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink.I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’ “Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’ “And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’ “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”

Hebrews 13.2: Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!

Romans 16:17
I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them

1 John 3:17
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?

What will Jesus’ border control look like?

In Revelation 21 we see this amazing image of what the eternal Kingdom of God will be like. John is being shown a vision of the Holy City, the capital of the new world with Christ as High King. He actually mentions their border control policy.

Revelation 21.23-25 And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light. The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the world will enter the city in all their glory. Its gates will never be closed at the end of day because there is no night there.

Conversely the Bible also has many passages in favor of borders.

Proverbs 25:17

Let your foot be seldom in your neighbor's house, lest he have his fill of you and hate you.

Acts 17:26
And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place.

Romans 13:1-14
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.

There are also dozens of not hundreds of passages referring to "nations", how can there be nations without borders?

Do any of those passages say we should allow those who have broken into your home stay with equal rights you have?
What part of our legal immigration policy doesn't comply with those passages?

Did you bother to read them? Its pro and con.
I read them all. Some of the verses are the inspiration for domestic and foreign missionary work.
In the big picture, the United States provide shelter, food, water and safety to those that are seeking asylum, and the same for illegals that are caught crossing over the border without permission. They would not come here if we treated them inhumanely.

Scripturally, the USA is doing what Jesus asked, under Obama, Bush, Reagan and now.
I can't speak for how authorities act when carrying out their individual duties. I'm sure it's not all good. There will be abuses for the same reasons God allows cruel things to happen all over the world.

Despite your frequent sarcasm and exaggerations I know from your vocabulary that you are an intelligent person. You have to admit, Trump's rhetoric/tweets have given permission or at least a wink for racists to come out of the woodwork. There are racists running for office now all over the country who have been in the shadows for years. Racists within ICE have been empowered or at least think they are.

Referring to black NFL players as SOBs and saying they dont love their country only inflames the hate. Telling cops to not worry about slamming a persons head on the top when shoving them in the car and saying you would like to punch a protester in the mouth during a rally is asking for violence.
Thats not what I want out of a president.

Typical liberal argument. Everything is racist.

On the one hand, I agree. But let's admit the NFL is a powerful force. Most all the players are reported upon even the bench warmers. Borrowing from the concussion movie, "they own Sunday or a day of the week" or something.
After the Micheal Brown shooting, the riots and the media interviewing the protestors you'd have thought it was a political execution. As I vaguely remember, the Rams players were heavily covered for their hands up gestures, even though MB did not raise his arms. Yet this gesture became a staple of the MB killing. Whether we agree or not that Trump inflamed hate, I'd have to claim the hate was already present before the Kaepernick sat on the bench and then morphed into taking a knee.

Here is a quote of what Kaepernick said, “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” he told NFL.com after the preseason game. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

The millionaire victims were simply protesting a myth and the media was reporting rumors to fill air time. Activists with vested interests spewed conspiracy theories. Just as the hands up don't shoot narrative proved the influence of the NFL, a bigger lie grew that cops were killing black men at will. Why even cover a backup quarterback relegated to the bench? Racism is big money.

Then after all this hoopla, regretfully, Trump chimed in. Hardly the first one to criticize the kneeling, but none of the other critics were as hated by the liberal establishment. At an Alabama rally of all places, “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, out, he’s fired. He’s fired,’” the story blew up bigger than it had ever been because of the weight of the office. I did not like what he said either, because I know he was pandering his base and ideology thing just sucks.

But frankly, when you choose to protest during something, no matter what your cause, people will see it as a protest against that thing, the flag!

After Trump's comment, the media spin became anything other than the anthem or flag. No, my friend, in spite of Kaepernick's his own words it became about race.

Do I think there's a lot of ignorant people out there that are racist, and will take every comment Trump makes literally, you bet. But there are many ignorant dummies on the other side of the issue too.

The NFL was now faced with a nightmare. You know its actually easy to ignore the race issue? I do it all the time. But even ignoring it is not what the left will accept. The tribal mentality that liberals seek to instill in people works only, to the extent it does, through constant reinforcement. That’s how a criticism of protest can be made to be about race when it wasn’t. Never mind the fact that Kaepernick himself made it about the flag by staging his “protest” during the honoring of the flag and said, on day one, “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”

Got a quote of Trump referring to black NFL players as SOBs? He did refer to those who didn't stand for the anthem as SOBs but I missed the part where it was only the black players.

Good point. The SOB quote is above. In today's society one really has to have the racist antennas up all the time. I remember Good Morning America saying, you can't ignore the racial implications. I say yes, you actually can, but that wouldn't fill in for the narrative.

You have to take into context who is saying it and what he has done and said in the past. If Mitt Romney said it I doubt it would have been taken the same as the man who paid for a full page NYT ad to execute the Central park kids who werent even guilty and has been sued for racial housing discrimination and said there are good people on the Nazi side, etc etc etc etc etc.

Remember the name James Hodgkinson? Probably not. He was the progressive activist and Bernie Sanders supporter who tried to murder as many GOP congressmen as possible on the baseball field. His name was reported, his motivations were glossed over, and his former existence was dropped like a rock by the media. Hodgkinson’s crime was the natural progression of what the Democrat led left-wing media had been accusing conservatives of attempting to inspire for years.

The Dems crushed Romney in 2012 for Akins idiotic statements. It helped for the media and the Democratic narrative that Republicans were waging some kind of “war on women,” the idea being that the GOP, should it obtain control of government, was on the cusp of repressing women by denying them abortions, equal pay, and the right to wear shoes and leave the kitchen while not ovulating. On its face it’s absurd, but that was the tactic chosen by the Left and it became a drum it would beat for the entire 2012 election cycle.
Remember Joe Biden? He told a black audience in Virginia, that Romney’s policies regarding the financial sector of the economy would “put y’all back in chains.” Clearly a reference to slavery. Biden knew exactly what he was doing, and so did the complicit media that covered him. Biden said he had borrowed the term from Paul Ryan who used the word unshackle not unchained. Biden’s comments were forgotten.
I could give two hoots in holler what Trump said about two idiot groups ( KKK and Antifa) fighting in Charlottesville.
When the KKK isn't running around painting swastikas and chanting Jews will not take over, they spend most of their leisure hours and minimal disposable income on meth and refining neck tattoos.
