Blue Springs reunion in Manhattan today

Drake plays Kansas State in the first round of the UCONNCAA tournament at 3:00 today. It will be a Blue Sprins reunion of sorts. KSU coach Jeff Mittie is Blue Springs alum as well Karyla Middlebrook, one of his guards. Middlebrook's teammate at BSHS, Lizzy Wendell is Drake's best player and Missouri Valley POY. Add to that Misslebrook's senior running mate at guard Kindred Wesseman is from a few miles down 7 Highway in Pleasant Hill, and Drake's post, Becca Jonas, is from next door at Inependece Truman.

And their sophomore forward (last years freshman of the year in the Valley) is from little Eldon High School. The Missouri girls are a huge part of the Drake team and recent success.
