Miller continues to just struggle on offense. Played about as poorly as I have ever seen them play. I have a feeling we will see this match up again.

Hadlock was the only one able to do much on offense but once Blue Eye put a lid on her they came back. Blue eye won because their 3rd through 5th best players stepped up with the Arnold’s not doing much scoring tonight. Miller had the best player tonight but Blue Eye had the most contributions from more players on both ends

Honestly I am amazed they are 6-1. I still think it will be late January before they really take off. Eventually they will get the new offense down cause right now they are still struggling with it.

Miller's defense is definitely their saving grace. Blue Eye struggled against that zone and couldn't run their usual sets very well. The way they play D amazes me because they are not a physically imposing team in any way, but they get it done.

I haven't seen a Miller game yet but it seems like a team that had guards who could drive the ball could get them in foul trouble considering their depth issues

You'd think but pretty tough to drive against that zone. Fair Grove guards tried it last week and kept dribbling into turnovers. To beat that zone you gotta space the floor with shooters that can make 3's and get some quick ball movement, and/or dribble one time into the zone to suck in the defenders and then kick out. If a player dribbles more than once or otherwise too deep into that zone against them, usually something bad happens.

I agree. Miller plays a brutal schedule as well.

Blue Eye looked content with the pace. I figured they would trap and force the tempo up but what do I know!
