Just how good is Blair Oaks this year? I honestly haven’t watched them since 2012? Do they mainly pass, or run and pass?
Here's a link to their Maxpreps page. They have highlight videos galore. One of the best schools at promoting themselves, and that's not meant to be a slam.

Weak.Think this game can go either way.
Maryville young but have playoff experience. They like to run the ball. Not as big on lines as the past but have great team speed on both sides of ball.
Blair Oaks (from videos) looks fast impressive passing game. Quick on Defense.
I said few weeks ago they a paper tiger like most other Class 3 STL side teams. But I'll admit I was wrong looking at highlights.
Game could be close could be a blowout by either of the teams. That's why they play game on the field.
Mo football fan23-The only common opponent is Eldon, and Blair Oaks starting QB did not play that game. They started a freshmen and still won by 20. Mt. Vernon beat Eldon by 18.
No, not really. Are you insinuating that you try to win harder in the playoffs and don't try/play as hard in the regular season? I've never heard of that before. Winners wanna win.Thank you! Good luck to the falcon program and whatever comes next! I don’t mean this in any way to be insulting, or in a way to be a prick. But isn’t it more impressive to beat a team by a good amount like 18-20 during the playoffs when both teams have even more on the line, than in the regular season? Just a thought. Not saying Oaks couldn’t beat Mount Vernon.![]()

Lets see, Regular Season results, MV 18 Aurora 30...Playoffs, MV 30 Aurora 18. Regular Season MV 7 Seneca 19...Playoffs MV 37 Seneca 8. But if you look at the Reeds results well maybe? Regular season meeting MV 35 Reeds 20 playoffs MV 30- reeds 28. But then we have to look at home and away. I don't know it all starts to get confusing. MV is playing really good ball right now. I don't put much stock into comparing scores because it comes down to how do teams match up and how can the exploit those match ups.
Watch out. Others on this board do not agree that losing your best player could affect how a team plays and wins/losses.Blair Oaks averages 51.5 points a game, in the 7 games with Nolan Hair. In the 6 games he was injured they averaged 35 points, still good. If you have watched Blair Oaks you know that Nolan Hair puts that offense on an entirely different level than it does without him.

You get real defense, real quick..Not what I was arguing. Good to know thanks!
You get real defense, real quick..
Every team improves through the season (barring things like injuries obviously), I was just saying that it's win or go home for both teams, so they will both be attempting to step up.
Honcho was referring to a Hamilton mom saying that it wasn't all about Latroy Harper.
You better be able to cover the quick pass against Blair Oaks. Lots of slants and out routes then they will catch you sleeping on a deep ball. The QB has a quick release and is very accurate. They have very good receivers and their defense is no slouch.
