Now we all know the best grass field in the state belongs to the 6 time defending Class 2 champions. Not talking about the foul weather field in Kansas either.

I'd say it's debatable. Maryville's looks better this time of year (still green) Lamars looks dead (brown) Both very good playing surfaces just different grass families

Yes, debatable as I saw it in Nov of 2009. But I must say the worst was California when we played there. I know they have a new stadium now though with turf and I'm sure it's top notch.

Fair Grove state semifinal in 2008 was the worse. Field had huge hump like slope. Was cool though you could stand on perimeter of field because very few bleachers at game.

Think they were in process of building new field for the next year.
