Blair Oaks/ Maryville

I'm at an event. cant watch or listen. Blair Oaks torching Maryville in passing game?
Well I guess Lamar has scheduled Maryville in a down year. Will probably be a snoozer when they both play this year, because I’m thinking Lamar would beat BO by 14-21 points.
Yeah I know, that's why I'm trying to see what that genius has to say on the matter since he can't even figure out the teams schedules.
Oh, my apologies. I heard a rumor that they were playing, but I do not live and die by this website so I’m not totally on the up and up with everyone’s schedule.

Coach Webb took the blame. Did not prepare his kids for the kind of offense Blair Oaks came out with.
Was expecting same offense they played last year but their new coach put in a new system of run-pass read options. Maryville D bit hard and got exposed.

Was more so wanting your reasoning as to why you say Blair Oaks would lose by 2-3 TDs against Lamar. What I'm reading in your post is that Maryville must be down because Blair Oaks beat them, as you say the Lamar and Maryville game would be a snoozer.
I was simply wanting you to explain two things:
1. Why do you think Maryville is down this year? Even though everybody and their brother on this board says otherwise, and pretty much everybody picked Maryville to win. Also that fact that Maryville in reality is still very much a really good team this year.
2. Why do you think Blair Oaks would lose by 2-3 tds agianst Lamar? Not saying it won't happen just wondering why you think that will happen?
Oh I don’t know, probably something to do with the last 7 years or so.
Okay I guess that answers my second question, but you point out the obvious. Everyone here knows they've won the last 7. I just thought you would actually have more of a point to make besides what happened in the past. This is 2018 not 2011-2017. To me I think that is one of the several reasons why Lamar has had the run they've had, because Bailey doesn't let his players live in the past.
And you still never answered why you think Maryville is down this year. I just feel if you have an opinion, which is perfectly fine, no matter what it is or if people agree with it. You should be able to explain it.

I don't think anybody can say Maryville down this year. Blair Oaks came in with an Excellent game plan to beat an aggressive team on defense.
Maryville a top 3 team in Class 3. You have them, Cardinal Ritter, & Trinity. Any one of those three can win that class IMO.
Class 2 think it comes down to Lamar and Blair Oaks. Not sure how the bracket lays out for a matchup.

I think unfortunately it will be before state this year. I would LOVE that matchup.
I agree Maryville is a great team, as was Blair Oaks, great game between two great teams.
I believe it most likely will come down to those schools you mentioned in Class 2 and 3 as well, and throw in Lutheran North for Class 2.
But as the Blair Oaks guy, it's a long season, and there are definitely teams in both classes that could beat those teams if they don't come ready to play or come in with big heads overlooking teams.
I feel both Class 2 and 3 will have a real competitive playoffs this year, some just stick out more than others.
For now we'll get to enjoy the regular season and see how it unfolds.
I do believe Maryville is down a little from last year, however everyone else is down a lot. Chili, Center especially. Maryville still the favorite. Odessa could give them a game tho, lots of game experience, lots of size, and really good skill guys Plus they were in the state title game 3 years ago so the coach knows how to get them there.
