KC metro it really isn't close for me (although I did recently post why in retrospect it may have happened): Week 8 Rock not only upsetting but blowing out CBC. #2 would be the second straight very puzzling loss by Raytown to Oak Park. Going back through some of my notes will look for other candidates as times allows today..............

Grandview beating Platte County is up there.
Oak Park beating Raytown. Almost unbelievable.
Ray Pec beating Liberty North.
Unless somebody gets a bunch of top move ins etc. i.e. all things remain equal Liberty North will be the 2020 preseason #1 in the KC Metro.

I think it could depend on who Rock hires if they hire holmes I think you could see a lot of parents move there kids from miege to the rock

Liberty North's Frosh QB already had Georgia sending scouts to look at him last Summer. Their wave of studs are coming through, three consecutive Freshman undefeated teams. Their Frosh team this year destroyed everyone they played. They are talent heavy. If Jones stays, they will be in the mix for a good run every year, for at least the next three years. And now that they are on the map, the football school parent shoppers will be getting places in Liberty--on the North side.

THIS is a huge key plus there is plenty of open land still left on which to build more of those fancy homes I see off 291..............never mind how down they may have been but beating Rockhurst, Blue Springs and Lee's Summit West in the same year will have major ramifications going down the road..............UNLESS, as I think we all agree, Jones and staff leave.

And there is reasonably priced housing....see the new complex off I35 North with the Jones Welcome Center in the middle building? Well, they don't recruit, but that won't stop parents from district shopping for their stud prospects. The retirement watch begins...

I could be wrong. I've been predicting that Liberty will go the way of Oak Park.

Nonsense. If they are as talented as we all suggest surely they would be fine with a different coach and staff.

I don’t think that was an upset. Jasper struggled all year...

Sherwood has struggled for 5 years. Really that program has historically struggled. So yes it was a big upset. I don't care if Jasper was only a one win team at the time. A least that program had a win.

Not arguing it wasn’t a big win - just when it happened at the end of the year I didn’t feel it was an upset. Jasper was struggling against small schools whereas Sherwood was competitive against some class 2 schools. Jasper lost to Archie 36-0, Sherwood shoulda, coulda beat Archie but lost 22-20. By week 9 Sherwood had proven it was a better team. Agree that anytime you break a long losing streak it’s a big deal, but to me it wasn’t an upset.

I definitely wouldn’t call it an upset per se, but Mound City had 2 losses in the regular season, and they avenged both in the post season. Defeating East Atchison to win the district title and Southwest to win the ship in Como. I found that pretty impressive.

Now I am UPSET

Blue and white pride - were either of the Harrisonville/Warrensburg games upsets?

The pigs on the Lutheran North sidelines only calling the Lathrop participants "cracker" 47 times when the over/under was set at 80 was the biggest surprise for me!

The biggest upset I saw all year was when #6 seed Lindbergh traveled to #3 seed Lafayette and won 31-7 in the first round of Class 6. Just two weeks prior, Lafayette went to Lindbergh on their senior night and won 17-0. Completely different story the second time where Lindbergh out coached, out hustled, and was way more physical than Lafayette. They definitely had their mind made up the second time.
