Big XII announcing that they are proceeding, for now, with a Fall Schedule keeps the hopes alive that we with have Football. Multiple folks reported (speculated) that if they had cancelled or delayed that the ACC would have followed. No way the SEC will play alone.

But I guess the real question is.. Is everyone just delaying the inevitable? Guess the next few days or couple of weeks will tell...

Is there any truth that the Big 12 and/or SEC will potentially extend offers to schools whos conferences cancelled fall sports? If so, is that even possible? Will these schools join on a temporary basis or permanent?

Big10 commissioner put the kabosh on that last night. When asked if Nebraska could play this fall, he said, "not and remain a member of the Big10 conference."

I think the complex TV contracts make it next to impossible for those teams to play on if their conference cancels.

Glad thats the case. It begs the question though, could one of these conferences reach out to independent schools? Say someone like Notre Dame?

Yes, I agree. When the news broke that the Big 10 was going to not play.. The rumor, at that time, was that only Iowa and Nebraska had voted NO... Speculation started that they could play in the Big XII for this season only, and drop the out of conference game that they agreed to last week. Just dont see some of the folks letting it happen

At the great risk of pissing off my late mother, who was a native of Beatrice, Nebraska, and a huge Cornhusker fan (especially of Dr. Tom), I have to say this: I am SO ready for Scott Frost to STFU! Like, yesterday.:mad:

Texas would make Nebraska shine their boots first before letting them play in the Big 12 this season.

Notre Dame (I dont have the article) has already been allowed to play with the ACC. Those arrangements were made about 3? weeks ago

I made a comment on Saturday Down South (facebok page) that neither Nebraska nor Colorado have made any accomplishments in their new conferences and have only been afterthoughts, that it may be time (especially for Nebraska) to leave the Big 10 and go home. Somehow I got notified that my comment was removed because it was harrassment/bullying. So I guess the Big10 owns facebook and was hurt :D
But seriously, I think the Big12 needs to put their foot down on Bevo and prove to them that their atrocity didnt accomplish squat, and look at bringing Nebraska back. Just a thought.....

IMO in next week or so they all shut it down. NCAA lawyers told member schools cannot waive liability if a student athlete gets infected.

My response, how they going prove how a person gets it. PLAY ON!!
