Big 12 expansion list

Paul Finebaum had one of his fellow Alabama honks on earlier this week talking about Expansion and how good of a fit Oklahoma would or would not be for the SEC.. they eventually got on the subject of how Oklahoma and aTm were the original targets when they expanded before and how different things would be today had that gone through. My only thought was how much different the attitude of Veer would be.... all of a sudden the Big XII would be better (even though the team that has dominated it would be gone). But then again, I doubt these guys know what they are were talking about. Veer and the like know the league better than these guys. SEC would not want nor has ever wanted the Sooners. The Crimson and Creme bring NOTHING to the table.. not exposure, no fans, no history and NO TELEVISION SETS. #CANTCOMPETE

Stay on topic please.

Honks be honks. Those guys say crap to get people like you to watch.

If Mizzou scheduled those teams on that list there'd be all sorts of 'weak schedule' comments. Throw kU on that schedule and you got a real barn burner!

Of course Mizzou beat BYU, UCF, UCONN and SD State recently so they must suck.

Figured it was close enough not to start a new thread...

anyway, staying on topic never stops you..

So if they talk about something you agree with, its because they know the SEC and are knowlegable but if they say something that might be true, but you dont like... its becuase they want "people like me to watch"... latest example of veer logic..

as far as schedule.... you NEVER play the out of league opponens the Sooners or possibly many that you chastise do..

Schedule Houston and Ohio State out of conference then talk... thanks

You can't have it both ways, can't call BYU, UCF, UConn, and SDSU quality wins AND bad additions to the Big 12.

Which are they?

Are they good OOC wins? If you play an SEC schedule you can live with these.

Are they a big conference draw? The worst conference adding these schools make it that much worse. Ouch.

You get to play a crappy big 12 schedule. You NEED good OOC games. You don't have the SEC caliber conference schedule. New WAC is the worst of the power 5.

Tbh, Cincinnati, UCF, USF, Houston, San Diego St. or even Memphis, Temple, or East Carolina with an additional $28 million annually to play with could become pretty big deals. SEC big? No, but any of those teams could be a Vanderbilt, Kentucky, or Mizzou in the SEC on an average year.

They need to play a real schedule first and find out what it's like. I surmise Mizzou wouldn't have struggled as much on their two 'down' 5-7 years if they'd been in any other conference. The SEC is unforgiving.

Yeah fortunately they'll be playing in the Big 12 so that's not really an issue. You play the schedule you have.

They can't be a good OOC win and also a garbage team. Make a decision.
