Best Tailgate Missouri High School Football?

I want to say that in years past, like say... over a decade ago.. It used to be Willow Springs. Never saw it for myself but always heard about it from fans at their games. They have no visitors bleachers so fans could back up the that side of the track and tailgate all the way down that sideline.

Who has the best high school football tailgaters in Missouri, and why?

Not sure they actually do a lot of grilling, but Miller fans back their trucks up in close proximity to and around most of the field. Maybe Bleach will chime in?

Before they built the new stadium, we used to tailgate on the hill above the south end zone in Webb and watch the game from there. With the limited seating of the old stands, unless you were in line before the gates opened, you weren't going to get a seat anyway. There were a few of us that would park an extra vehicle up there either Thursday night or first thing Friday morning to reserve our spot. Several of us families joined together and would have one heck of a spread. We'd always bring extra and feed passers-by. They'd offer to join in the next game so it kept growing. The youth football kids would have their own game going in the grass outside the fence. When the new stadium was built, they placed the band bleachers in the south end zone, blocked our view (not unintentionally I'd guess) and that was the end of that. I still have had the grill going since then including both home games this year, but it isn't like the old days.

My most memorable trip to Willow Springs - not tailgating. But no close by facilities for the teams to use at halftime. So the second quarter ends, the Bears players walk about 50 yards off the field to the woods' edge, and with backs to fans start peeing all over the place. We were the visitors - the dads laughed and the moms were...shocked....embarrassed.... impressed?

That's all changed. The facilities are actually quite nice now. Triple the original seating. As well as the locker rooms for both teams are about 15 ft from the track.

The guys at Liberty (MV/BT) will have a pull behind pit and other smaller pits in the back of trucks on the hill with all kinds of food. Always a good feast.

I know it's not Missouri but it's close... Went to a Palmyra/QND game about 15 years ago and thought I was at a college football game. BBQ smoke everywhere and suds a flowing... People were sitting in lawn chairs on top of RVs looking over the visiting stands. Was pretty cool.

It may not be the best, but Chillicothe has one of the more unique tailgate traditions. There is a small parking lot right behind the visitors sideline. People back their picks ups there, put up their Hornet flags, BBQ,, tail gate, cheer and sometimes give the visitors a hard time. The parking spaces in this lot are auctioned off before the season starts...prime spots have brought up to $300 or more. Money goes into a fund to be used when the turf needs to be replaced in the future. This tradition started at the old stadium where people would park their truck there all week to reserve their spot, prior to the auction idea.
