Golden City winning their first district title in school history.

They went from being beaten by Miller 98-17 10+ years ago to lasting longer than them in the playoffs.
A traditional bottom feeder that hasn't had the culture and talent to compete got it done.

The Scott girls have helped that team a lot. I think their dad was on the boys' Final Four team in the mid 1990s at Golden City.

They have but that talent level is way above what it's ever been overall and the culture changed.
They also must have improved a lot over the season as well, I did not think they were overly impressive over Christmas. Do they play hard, yes, definitely did not see them as a quarterfinalist team in December. Congrats to them on improving and on a great year!

You’re an idiot. If this was apples to apples then your idiotic statement would have some substance. Best thing this program ever did was move on from you. How many games did you win in your tenure there?

Some of us don't quit every time the talent dries up and will take challenging jobs.

Still didn’t answer the question.
I believe we won 6 the first year then 2 then next after my little guard went down. I think they had 1 win per year for several years before that. I'm proud of that group and how they always played hard and gave all they had.

As for the other @ thing you did: I won a few games since then and had some good teams. I stepped away from coaching last year to enjoy my youngest's last years of HS and to spoil my grandbaby. Still enjoy teaching for a few more years then retirement time. Seems like you're wrong all over.

Just so we're clear: Miller's girls went 23-4. Miller's boys went 8-19. Same coach. Explain.

Sorry that your tantrum derailed this thread. The staff at GC and the girls did a great job this year.

It’s unfortunate you turned this thread from how GC did to how they compared to someone else. If you really cared about bringing light to their success you wouldn’t have compared it to anyone else.

WOW!! Veer and I may not see eye to eye, alot But no need to go get all personal there... come on

Veer hates Miller, any chance he gets to bad mouth them he does. The thread had nothing to do with Golden City doing good this year. It was meant as a jab at Miller. He even said Golden City had a bad Culture and was a bottom feeder yet Golden city has been pretty good the last several years.

It was merely trying to show how far they've come the last few years. I got to see them up close and personal my last year coaching and they gave us a heck of a game.

Hate is a strong word. Some of your posters certainly invite correcting now and again.

Have a good one.
