The ball did not hit the ground one time tonight. Everyone was covering it up with 2 hands. Back to the Webb of old. Now they just need to repeat that week in and week out.
That was the third thing I noticed. O-line was getting a huge push & the D is back to being fast to the ball and excited to hit someone. (Last if year, if they hadn't put it on the turf so many times, it would of been a whole different year.)
D-line a little small, so they will have to rely upon quickness and just plan ole getting better and meaner as the year goes along. But with the pursuit of the four linebackers and how they will get better at plugging holes we'll see some great defense. Last night when both Seneca and Joplin tried to get outside the linebackers had it covered quickly because the D-end and outside linebacker on the side clogged up the play and it went nowhere! They are going to get better as the year goes along.
