These posts aren't supposed to be made until the week following the state title games, when commenters from each state title team are cordially invited to make the case of how they would have won the class bigger than them. It's an annual December MoSports Tradition. And yes, it is usually led by Lamarians.
Lamar would not win against most teams in any class of those years you speak of. Webb maybe, not Lamar!
Lamar fans let me type this as Stryk3 wants it to be read: "Lamar sucks!"
How would I ever think Lamar sucks! they are a powerhouse by all measures. But to say they would win in any class is a slap in the face to some very good powerhouse teams in Class 5 and Class 6.
Classes 1-3 In Missouri (before the private multiplier) Lamar would’ve won against a lot of those schools. For a few years of the 7 in a row. I’d say 2014-2017. But it’s just a discussion and it’s silly at the end of the day. Who cares. Like Rufus said it’s a “December conversation” from last year. And it’s a pointless one lol Definitely the past few years that’s no longer the case. But let’s not beat a dead horse. Pretty goofy conversation.
BO In 2018 and 2019 was unstoppable. And possibly this year will be the same
As of today (really rooting for the Higg-Richmond winner, though) I am in the probably category.
We will see imo regardless if BO beats the barn doors off of everyone left or not. I don’t personally believe they have been tested legitimately since the Maryville game or LN whichever they played last. So we will see what happens. Yeah, I’m not confident at all anyone will beat them.
And there were four years Webb couldn't get past Kearney. Lathrop beat Lamar.
Yup that was a great Lathrop team, and an average for Lamar team. Nobody was going to beat LN that year though. Lathrop saved me gas money the following week

I was at that Lathrop game. Thought the QB spin deal wore out its welcome, frankly. I don't think any Mule was fooled by it.
I don't remember Lamar and Lathrop playing in 2019, they played in 2018. That would be the year BO won state. LN won Class 2 in 2019.
St. Louis has the best athletes and "Super Teams". They could win Class 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 this year. A lot of the good teams are "students who choose to enroll for academic reasons". Overall, Kansas City has better teams from top to bottom and better linemen. Southwest Missouri is pretty salty with their teams and considered a great region. Very interesting what happens this playoff season.
Slow athletes that year and yeah it’s not done anymore.
I really, really, really miss Westport. HS and entertainment district...........
Its basically synonymous with Lamar and its siblings sc-wing eachother.
