While not seeing anyone in the field I could vote for based on policy, at the risk of "helping the enemy", who would conservatives or Trump voters say is the most likely Dem to defeat Trump?
I see no way for the crazies......Warren and Sanders to win.
I see no way for the mental invalid.....Biden to win.
I see no way for the gimmick guy......Yang to win.
I see no way for the South Bend Mayor to win.
I see no way the rich white Republican from NY gets the nomination but could have a SLIGHT chance.
The only Democrat candidate I could see giving Trump a contest (the only one I would not want to see on the ballot) is Amy K. She is a traditional Democrat who doesn't want to burn America to the ground and start over. She isn't entitled to the nomination. She doesn't have a shady background. She is a woman but isn't running on that as her claim to the nomination. She seems well versed on her positions and doesn't have her finger in the air checking to see if she's right. She is the ONLY Dem running that I wouldn't fear for America if she won. I have no idea why old schol Dems aren't pushing her.
What say you?

and trump is the only conservative that could run that makes me fear for America. Serious response, I don't need any of you leg humpers attacking my answer.

Honestly unless Biden implodes he is going to be the nominee. If Sanders wins early you will see CNN and MSNBC really turn on him. Bloomberg will not be the Dem nominee. He could possibly run as an independent but that probably helps Trump.

Tulsi would give him a run for his money.

There's no good way to attack her. She's a veteran, woman of color, longtime respectable senator and relatively moderate.

If Bernie was smart he would offer Tulsi the VP position to balance his ticket.

I'd still rather Bill Weld be the Republican nominee, but if Trump's what we have, that's what we have.

Are you saying Biden is who you'd pick if a Dem? Do you fear him?

Amy Klobuchar has been my choice since the Nov. debate. Yes, a moderate Democrat. She keeps trying to tell Dems they cannot win the election on the free universal healthcare for all only option, and she is right. Her healthcare platform goes after Big Pharma price gouging, the insurance companies continually raises premiums while experiencing record profits, insurance companies deciding they can deny procedures, long term care bankrupting families, medical billing fraud and price gouging.
She opposes free college, pro union. She is the most middle of the road candidate on either side. Midwestern values.
Her problem may be lack of charisma and TV appeal. She is soft spoken and polite. Let's face it - since Kennedy/Reagan figured out the secret is to master the TV camera, our election are basically decided by who is the better actor in front of the camera.
KLOBUCHAR IN 2020 - COUNT ME IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unless Burisma blows up on him I think he is the safest pick for the Dems. I don’t think it will after the impeachment trial. He probably loses to Trump but won’t lose 40-45 states like Sanders will.

So other than Warren I think Trump would prefer to run against Sanders.

Polling is flawed.

I've literally never been polled, have you? Exactly who are they asking?
I hear ya but, it kind of depends on what is being polled and how the question is asked. There isn't a lot of ways to weight the poll in a primary to get a desired outcome and don't know why they would want to dis Gabbard.

They want to diss Gabbard because they know a moderate Democrat would sweep the floor with Biden, Sanders, or Warren, and the media/Democratic party has already determined they want one of those three.

When Tulsi was still in the debates she was the most googled candidate after EVERY debate. That shows interest at the bare minimum.

All of the Democrat candidates flap about uselessly complaining how terribly unfair things are and running around trying to make bad situations worse. None of them have any sense other than everything is corrupt, and nobody gets anywhere unless they are rich.

I pretty much agree but some are far worse than others. I was just trying to think who could be sold to the voting public as viable.

Biden seems to have no core principles. Liz, oh please..
Bernie is spiking dramatically in Iowa and NH. It's just astonishing.
Bernie has been a communist his whole career. He pretends to be a Norway Socialist but in reality, he can't get himself up to condemn Cuba, Venezuela and the USSR anywhere now!
We need Bernie to win the nomination. Then it will be a referendum on Bernie and not Trump.
Bernie literally roots for the worst actors ever to walk this earth. He's never met a program that doesn't deserve massive government expansion. He's never met a private industry that doesn't deserve to nationalize. The best thing for Trump is for Bernie to win. The worst thing for the United States is for Bernie to win the nomination. He will turn the party of Barack Obama, which was not anti-capitalist, into the party of AOC. The same way McGovern dragged the party left in 1972, Larry David the commie is going to do in 2020. It's scary to think he will have a 40% shot.

Larry David. The cartoon guy that spends his whole life complaining about everything. Me, me, me. My entitlements, my rights. Give me give me. Can you imagine running a football program with turds like this?

On CBS, Bernie was asked how he will pay for his plans ( free HC, Pay off SL, etc), and he said nobody knows. When the talking head asked again if he was going to tell us how much it will cost, he said, of course, I will tell you the cost. Bahahaha

Wow on this whole thread! Tulsi is not hot. She disqualified herself when she wouldn't condemn Assad. She made herself look desperate attacking Harris. Klobuchar's policies would be better off coming from a better candidate. The stories about how she treats her staff makes her come off as insincere. She does not have charisma, which shouldn't be a big deal, but it comes off as weak, and would not go well in a campaign against a bully. Calling Biden a mental invalid while ignoring Trump's mental deficiencies is amazingly hypocritical.

She "attacked" Harris?

That's a conversational disconnect liberals and conservatives have, you consider that an attack, I just consider it bringing up Kamala's record and body of work.

What's wrong with that?

Ok, "when she brought up Harris's record made her look weak because she can't run on her own credentials."

I disagree. From a credential standpoint she's as strong (or stronger) than literally any of the rest of the Democratic field.

What have any of those people (the frontrunners) really done other than be career politicians?

I was polled in 2
Ok, "when she brought up Harris's record made her look weak because she can't run on her own credentials."

It took her like 2 minutes to end a Harris’ campaign. That wasn’t desperate any more than Conor McGregor was desperate against Cowboy.

Gabbard isn’t even close to getting the nomination but she would be tough to beat in a general election.

She took an axe to Harris over her record as a DA. Harris accused Kav. of being in a rape club.
The woman didn't seem to have a clue who she is in her beliefs, it was all platitudes.
Tulsi Gab. has much more depth.

I've been polled a bunch....but I don't ever answer correctly...I dislike polls and want them discredited because they tend to be used to sway some voters to stay home and not vote.

I know a lot of conservatives who do this, it wasn't my idea. It is a little mini movement that started about 8 yrs ago.

Bernie has been consistent his whole career. Unfortunately he has been consistently Wrong about every legislation he's ever done. It's not close.
