On my list of outstanding players from notable teams (and those with stats on maxpreps) (pardon spelling) and in no particular order other than I think of them. (I also know I'm leaving out a ton of guys...so let me know who you have seen or heard about! Great opportunity to get your kids' names out for all state voting ahead of time!
1.Kennedy Davis, Glasgow, Senior post had 20 some points and 20 rebounds against rival Fayette. (Returning all-state)
2. Logan Thomazin, Walnut Grove, returning all state (maybe best pure scorer in Class 1) had 40 points recently over Fordland
3. Armani Vermillion, Advance, most notable guard in SEMO class 1, IMO. Great off the dribble and can hurt you from the Perimeter
4. Dawson Mayo, Advance, formidable senior post, averaging close to a double double
5. Craig Lewis, Winston, the field general for the Redbirds as their point guard
6. Jacob Lewis, Winston, left handed shooting guard burst on the scene this year and is a microwave offensively
7. Michael Burch, Jefferson, point guard is averaging just over 20 points a game that can shoot it and directs traffic and solid ball handling
8. Austin Hall, Braymer, big man averaging very close to a double double after missing previous year with a knee injury
9. Jordan Miller, Braymer, long wing player averaging close to a double double as well scored 37 against a bigger Lathrop team going 7-9 from 3 point
10. Deantrel Beard, SCC, usually their leading scorer, an aggressive undersized post that flat gets after it
11. Jacob Powelson, North Andrew, shooting guard that is primary scorer many nights for the state ranked cardinals who are very balanced in scoring
12. Hunter Gilkey, Walnut Grove, point guard and hustle machine is the grease in the wheel for Walnut Grove
13. Cade Allee, Worth County, long wing player can heat up quick, not eye popping in average stats on a balanced team, but scored 25 in their victory against the top ranked class 2 Stanberry.
14. Aidan DeLong, North Andrew, post player is one of many scoring options for North Andrew and is a skilled finisher around the basket
15. Preston Wuebker, Advance..shooting guard can light it up from outside for the state ranked Hornets
16. Drake Kinsella, Worth County, Long versatile player can bang inside or shoot the triple. Very good player on a dangerous team
17. Dylan Seckington, Meadville, sophomore long wing player averages over 15 a game and is 40% from 3point in 137 attempts
18.. Ryan Hughes, North Andrew, point guard for the Cardinals can dish it and create havoc off the dribble and shoots it well from distance.
19. Caden Farnan, Jefferson, big man for the Eagles is a physical force and has the stats to back it up.
20. Ryan Young, Meadville, big senior guard can slash and finish against anyone in the state
21. Hayden Hackman, Glasgow, mid size senior guard does all the little things right and was named MVP of the Marceline tournament
22. Kabyl McMillen, Glasgow, senior point guard is quick, a great distributor, and can shoot lights out for the yellowjackets
23. Nathan Burnett, Risco, sophomore guard averaging a hefty 23.5 ppg for the Surging Risco squad, including a 42 point effort against Delta
24.Jeff Salmon, senior guard leading the Hornets with 17.5 pig and over 5 assists per game on a balanced squad
25. Victor Le Verdier, Hermitage, senior averaging 15 points 4 assists and 6 boards per game for the state ranked Hornets
26. Garrett Johnson, Northwestern Mendon, with a 33 point effort versus State ranked Mercer
Ok, that was a longer list than I thought I would have, and I know I haven't even mentioned the best players from every state ranked team, so my greenfield guy, Wellsville guy, and maybe nwbball can help me with Mercer kids. Would be great to hear from Metrodude or someone who knows more about the bootheel teams
