My 401K only increased 42.5% this year!!!
Many more years like that and I won't have a job .
That does include contributions for the year but the rate of return was 28% invested in a lower risk age targeted fund. As a 60 year old, these things get my attention. Income went up noticeably, can't find people to hire, and no end in sight.
TRUMP MUST GO!!!!!! Back for 4 more years that is.

The economy went in a nosedive under Obama’s watch, and he presided over the longest and slowest economic recovery in history. Remember him and Biden declaring that high unemployment and low growth were the “new normal”

Obama was nothing but a bumbling idiot “I guess there isn’t such a thing as a shovel ready job”

Trump is elected and the economy and stock market explodes

blondee, I realize Reps memories are historically challenged. Economy went in the tank under Bush, and left Obama with a country on the verge of economic collapse. Obama left office with 15 consecutive quarters of economic growth.

While the economy was "growing" under Obama, it was very slow (especially considering there was literally no where to go but up). The message from Obama and Co. was that huge growth wasn't possible. Since the day Trump was elected things have changed drastically. We just ended the first decade without a recession in a long time (maybe ever). There will be a correction at some point but things look very good looking ahead for now.
I try to split my investments between stocks and metals. Usually one does well while the other struggles somewhat but on top of the stock boon this year the metals had a 20% growth too. I can't think of anything that performed horribly. It is amazing what a positive message can do vs. lowering expectations.

I've read these before. I can post one or two that is more critical of the actual results. Obama could no wrong in the eyes of ______. Even after Obama went after his negative press, the MSM hardly covered it. It's only an attack on the free press when a Republican does it. Well, Trump that is, not many Rep. ever dared to call them out. Unless you think John McCain and Mitt Romney are Republicans. Obama was scandal-free, which is a bunch of hooey.

My portfolio had two different years with returns above 30% under Obama.
