All the talk right now about space travel, lunar mining, and the Outer Space Air Force is just that - all talk. Just announced yesterday that we will add $2 trillion to our deficit this year alone. We don't need to spend a dime on outer space right now. If billionaire owned private companies want to spend their fortunes that way, it's their money. But we shouldn't subsidize them one cent.
Besides, until scientists can solve the problem of zero/low gravity's effect on the human body, long term survival in space is a pipe dream.
They aren't launching from their backyard. They are costing us a LOT of money to do what they do. Maybe a breakeven deal when they deploy some sattelites that need to be replaced/upgrades.All the talk right now about space travel, lunar mining, and the Outer Space Air Force is just that - all talk.
