Mexico hasn't paid a dime for the wall, China is still doing pretty much anything they want, NK didn't give up a damn thing and are currently showing off their shiny new ballistic missile that can be launched from a submarine, and it looks amazing like the ones China has. hmmmm wonder how that happened. I agree with you whole heartedly. I will say that it is hard to defend his crass nature and rough edges. Having said that, it would not matter to those who are in see him as opposition if he were clean around the edges and we'll spoken.

Defending any politician is difficult, so my arguments are centered around the issues and the moral arguments that surround them. What we see is such a wide chasm between what each side views as correct, moral and true.

My truth comes from the Bible. Make fun as you will, I am certainly use to that (taught science for ten years as a Christian man - caught a lot of snark). Does one side of the political isle represent the biblical values perfectly? No, but conservatives a far closer on every single biblical issue (in campaigning and far more likely to follow through on those issues - anti abortion, sanctity of marriage, etc). I say that knowing good and well that there are conservative politicians out to line their pockets and don't truly represent Christians. Humans are wildly imperfect, I can objectively stand back and admit that. We all know that party affiliation doesn't mean someone isn't being a crook (both sides do it).

How does the country unify over marriage, lbgtq agenda, the idea of socialism, taxation, climate science, the level of racism and it's affect on America and truth (just to name a few) if some many disagree so fervently?

What has the SC done that does that? We'll see what they say about abortion when they come back in session. I do believe they ahem case before them right away the the return. The Chief Justice has already said it is settled law in his opinion, we'll see if there is a majority now that interprets that differently than Chief Roberts. Mitch McConnell is the one that pushed the judges through s quick as possible and kept Trump somewhat focused on that.

They are constantly under attack and will be soon (tomorrow - mandates for certain items from Affordable Care Act will come back forcing people to provide their tax dollars for abortion, advances in lgbtq agenda will be coming which are in direct contrast with Christian values, they plan to repeal the Hyde amendment and sheldon amendment, reinstating title x which will give more money to planned parenthood for murder). Those are my primary concern.

I've found, nearly without exception, that thorough (rather than cursory) research is not a strong suit for the MAGA crowd. For people who call other people "snowflakes" all the time, they sure do think with their emotions a heck of a lot.
