If we're going with a flexbone guy let's take Monken from Army.
-He worked under PJ.
-He only 42, 23 years younger than PJ.
-He's a Peoria, IL native. Knows the lay of the land.
-Is used to recruiting nationally.
-He is a darn good coach and creative on defense.

Pipe dream I think. You could probably compete in the SEC but I don't think you could win it.
It would be interesting though because he would probably bring Mitch Ware (his QB coach and former MO State QB coach, and I think OC, for Jesse Branch. Not for sure because the old grey matter has developed some gaps and crevices).
Id rather be on the short list than the short bus.
My point being, I think we have just as good a shot with Monken as we do with anyone else.
Also, running flexbone we may still finish 13th or 14th in the conference in recruiting, but it will be justifiable because we'll be recruiting different kinds of athletes.
Also I guarantee the stupid personal fouls will be a thing of the past.
Mitch was on the SMS staff for multiple head coaches 15+ years. He was also OC at Ga Southern and Navy. I think he has been at Army for at least 5-6 years.
Norvell has been ruled out. Harsin is the hire IMO if the Lane Train pulls into another station. Interesting note on that, both Odom and Kiffin have the same agent.
The thought of Monken and the Wing T at Mizzou is laughable to me. That would be an absolute disaster.
How about someone who has won a national championship in college ball AND had NFL success?
Well fortunately Monken doesn't run the Wing-T, so you can worry less about that.

theyre also on 3 years probation and a reduction in schollies. even tho there wasnt any recruiting violations. makes total sense...eye roll.
