I can recall calling an xp fake once as a JV player as a freshman. We scored the two then all i remember is a hand reaching from the sideline and a coaches face did indeed fit in my facemask with me.
Never did that again.
Saw the missed block in the back call on this play too right before the scoring throw, illegal block was made on the guy that was pursuing the passer
What school did this and against whom? Did they literally lateral the ball towards the other end of the field and then play keep away?
Is Glendale known for being unprofessional? And what's the point of this? Kick a team when they are down?
I’m pretty sure I’ve heard about them onside kicking when they were up 3-4 TDs on somebody sometime in the last 4-5 years (I could be wrong though) so I guess that’s just a matter of opinion lol

Glendale is well known for never punting, onside kicking, and always going for 2. Whether they still do this I’m not sure, but they definitely used to. The Mauks are not very popular in the SWMO coaching world, and I’m not sure they care

This kind of play screams Walnut Heights! Those rich pricks love to pull crap like this!
Maybe they should stop working on circus stuff like that and focus on plays that will help them win a district title or something that matters.
Did anything ever come from that lawsuit he had against SPS because of the disciplinary action taken when he was ejected from the quarterfinal game when he got hot over that no-call? He was alleging age discrimination among other things. Seems like he would be a real headache to employ... reckless and unwilling to let things go and tries to justify and make others pay for his mistakes. If SPS tried to get rid of him I'm sure he'd make it as difficult and expensive as possible just for the fun of it.

As indicated, Glendale was up 30 when this play took place so it's clear that they did this because Hillcrest must have one of the most elite placekickers in the nation. Choosing to kick the extra point here, would only make it a 31 point game. If Hillcrest scored 4 more touchdowns and converted all
4 PATs (which they would obviously make due to their incredible kicking prowess), that leaves them within 3 points and they could easily tie the game with a chip shot field goal from 60 yards out. By converting the 2 here, however; Glendale is making a statement: I respect your kicker and I'm going to make you go out there and score 4 touchdowns and get all 4 two point conversions in order to tie this game up. Excellent job of scouting Hillcrest's special teams.

I had no idea Wistrom was coaching at Glendale. Also learned from a google search that Glendale's jerseys are identical to Webb City's with the weird square numbers. I already knew their colors were the same.Did Wistrom call that play?
