That will be a violent affair. That is scheduled for 10/12 at Park Hill. And you are assuming with Staley's large drain of talent (Seniors) that departed, they will still be at a super high level? Park Hill wins by 10.
With all the numbers they bring out no doubt they will find the right combo and contend (assuming they remain) in C5 again. KTown is actually catching them at a favorable time (early) this fall but may still fall short.

Another game to watch (will know much better after week 1 results) is Week 2 when Harrisonville visits defending (and major repeat favorite) C3 champ Maryville.

Park Hill lost a bunch as well, particularly on offense. I wouldn't make a prediction at this point...

Agreed. To me these two schools mirror each other this year. Not knowing the classification breakdowns yet this is a guess BUT my pre-season eye is on Fort O in C5. Love that QB............

Hell, that's before it even gets cold outside.

Here's a few!!!!!!!!!!
Marietta Ga. vs St. John's Catholic, Washington D.C.
Marietta vs Good Counsel, Md.
USA TODAY #3 Grayson Ga. vs Archer Ga.
Grayson vs Marietta
Grayson vs New Jersey State Champion Bergen Catholic
Colquitt vs Grayson
Buford vs Archer

I'm actually really looking forward to seeing Webb City vs Joplin . They haven't played since 96 or 97 . Most years Webb would crush Joplin but I actually think Joplin should be very good the next two years. They were above average/good last year and they were sophmore heavy

Glad to see Jackson and Hillsboro playing. They had some good games back in the eighties, but haven't played in a while.

While it shouldnt be close the first silver tiger game in almost 15 years will be fun to see. Lamar vs nevada

Would love to see SC vs. Lawrence Free State.
Free State knocked off one of the best Park Hill teams I've seen last year so not sure how close this will be but LFS did lose a lot to graduation.

Im shocked! No one has mentioned the Ampipe-Walnut Heights game yet! On the Missouri side of things, the Odessa/Oak Grove game is always a good one!

I wouldn't put too much credit in an anomaly. Missouri won the series 17-3 over the two years. Kansas is the little step bro of the Missouri teams. Not at the same level for the most part., except for Bishop Miege.

I was thinking the same thing, but applaud SC for scheduling them. They have taken heat in the recent past for scheduling cupcakes. This year’s schedule is definitely an upgrade. They’ve got all three of the Columbia publics…

We will find out about Miege, who annually benefits from no private school multiplier in KS, when they host the Rock in October.

Miege will get man handled in this one. they have the skill position players to compete, but I can't see them handling the size that rock is going to bring this year.

only wild card is Rocks QB, unless they have an underclassmen that can step up this could be a real issue. Their backup from last year is good skills-wise but I don't think he can see over their monster line.

FYI> Miege would love to play better competition, Kansas just doesn't have it. In any class.

Except that Bishop Miege plays up two levels..they beat the #1 6A team, Blue Valley North (33-14), and the #4 6A team, Blue Valley (55-10) So not sure how they are benefiting? They are killing the top big schools in the state. It is too early to pick games, but I would put Bishop Miege -11 on the Vegas board over the Rock.

I am looking forward to Fort O and Lee Summit West 8/31 - something tells me this is gonna be a good one

You can always count on Fort O to bring some tough football. They should be an improved team. LSW just has the numbers and all those places kids can move to from Raytown and Grandview.

New housing development (apts and condos)...I think in the Liberty North area..will be like 1500 capacity. I wonder if they will have a Coach Jones' welcoming center installed in one of the lobbies? jk
