What exactly has Eric done with the commanders that would get someone excited? Get his QB beaten to a pulp?
I don’t think it’s too far-fetched…if you ignore the receivers-dropping-the-ball problem, the receivers-can’t-get-open problem, and the tackles-are-awful problem. Come to think of it, maybe the problem is higher up in the GM’s office, at least when it comes to drafting and developing receivers.
They are falling prey to their own success. They have got complacent. They are distracted. To quote the great Apollo Creed they have lost the eye of the tiger.
The only thing that I would add is Mahomes not finding receivers when they are open. The poor Oline blocking had a lot to do with that today.
I think that Veach has done a very good job as GM. His draft picks have been solid overall. Acquiring Kadarius Toney was not one of his better moves. Salary cap issues have prevented him from doing more. On that count, things may get worse before they get better.

The Chiefs are saying after every loss they need to clean some things up. I think that might have been EB's job description. I mean if he wasn't calling plays what did he do? Focus on eliminating penalties and turnovers, maybe? Coach players where to line up, work with receivers to reduce the number of drops?
I think Veach’s picks and decisions for everything except receivers have been really, really good.

The team we saw today is the recipe we gotta follow. The offense just needs to move the ball and score a little. Let the defense take care of business.

They went too Hollywood this year just my opinion. Yesterday was the formula but, yeah, agree offense will likely keep them out of playing in Vegas next month.
I think we all forget that coach Reid has always had wide receiver issues.
