Andrew Luck retiring?????

Two questions. Why did he go out on the field knowing he was retiring? Another, listen to the crowd, do you hear the boos overwhelming everything else in a 1/10th filled stadium? I don't.

Fake news.

I take the unpopular view that I don’t blame them for booing. There are middle class families in that city that spurge on one thing, season tickets. And he waits until 2 weeks before the season to retire??? This makes 2 out of three years where season ticket holders get stuck with Brissett at QB. It’s BS. Announce your retirement in February or rehab yourself and play the second half of the season.

Why not?

Why not retire? He’s a injury away from never being the same and he’s not even 30. Nothing wrong with walking away. We don’t own these players. They can do what they want, if they want to play or if they don’t. They don’t owe us anything.

It’s fact anyone was booing. Then the reason it really blew up was media personalities were putting Luck down. And saying outrageous stuff. Which lead to the booing being talked about more.

You are fake news.

Stupid take. Why not retire? Why not? If we are talking hypotheticals? Why not? That’s something that can’t be answered logically. He’s his own man. He chooses to retire. End of story.

You don’t know me well enough to say “stupid take”. Just give your opinion on the subject little man. You might think about how your actions effect others, because Luck sure didn’t. The problem was the timing. Seems like I said that already Einstein.

Doesn’t matter. He’s not a slave. His team isn’t above his life long health. Sorry old fart. I’m a women genius.

Football isn’t as important as life long longevity.

Tribal behavior is never good. Especially over a silly sport. Hurt his back or Kidney again and he won’t be the same person. He’s only 29. Morbid to care about petty crap. Just reality.

He is not a slave??? He took home 25 million. But couldn’t go thru a couple of months of rehab to give it one last try for season ticket holders. That’s a hell of an understatement. Slave.....Bahahahahaha

If fans are spending money they don't have on season tickets, then they should probably stay home and watch the games for free.

Perfect example of why people shouldn't care about something that is incapable of caring about them back.

Life's about choices. If a fan chooses to spend money on football, then they are risking that their team might suck, or players may get hurt or quit -- just like if you spend money on a vacation to Disney World it might rain.

If you're not willing to take that risk, then don't buy the ticket.

On the flip side, I don't care that the fans booed either. Luck made the choice to go out on the field one more time. He could have slipped out the back door and been done with it ... much ado about nothing if you ask me that is being stirred up by social media clowns who earn a living by drawing attention to themselves with outrageous takes.

We have created an entire society of people peacocking on Twitter trying to fight over who can put the loudest, most outrageous thing on their head.

You are expecting him to go through a 6th rehab for fans? He owes nothing to anyone. Your argument is one hell of a stupid one. Forget JN you are the most moronic poster on here without a doubt. Congratulations sir. Take a walk bud. Or sit down, something. This argument isn’t working for ya. You’d be one of the drunk morons in the crowd booing I’m sure.

It’s more about a players right to hang up the helmet and walk away on his own. Which was becoming less likely if he continued to play. They pay him so you MUST play even if the NFL themselves have opt out clauses for contracts related to injuries for retirement. What a moron. LOL

Super debating skills you have developed.
Can’t think of anything logical so call the other side stupid. How many years do you have left in middle school?

Jolene, do you enjoy this? You are knowledgeable to a small extent, but seriously, you troll everybody. Kinda stupid really.

The Colts knew Luck was retiring. Why parade him in front of a sparse preseason crowd?

What’s not logical about a player having a right to retire? What’s logical about saying he owes fans to put himself through rehab for another possible year when he could not walk or function again if he hurts his back after rehabbing the knee?

You’re argument is based on the feelings of people who don’t truly hurt from him not playing. Mine is based on a mans life AWAY FROM the game.

Not even sure how yours is anything but a emotional opinion. He’s literally had doctors tell him about his pain and back.

Not sure how I’m trolling? He has every right to retire there’s no alternative opinion worth a crap. It’s his life he’s thinking about. Would you rather be healthy for a extent from 29 on? Or be in pain from 29 on? Maybe never walk right? He decided to walk away.

A successful troll will get several posts that disagree with their inflammatory statements. Congrats.

Nothing is inflammatory about a player having a right to retire, like at all. Seriously. That’s the argument.

Goodness. That might have been a more puzzling argument then Duck was making. How?

..or when you call posters stupid, or morons. That's not easy, its lazy. You #1 troll...

Comments and opinions form those statements.

I have to say, I do love how you stopped trying to argue with my comments about Luck, and how they were “inflammatory”. Good job to notice a argument you can’t win.

The timing sucks, but here's why it sucks the most. Luck knew about his retirement at least a couple of weeks prior to the announcement. Why the wait? Well...It's the same reason the Colts paid him, rather than recouping what they could've recouped. They agreed to delay the announcement. Why? The Colts didn't want season ticket sales to suffer. This stuff is just never as simple as it seems.

Agree 100%

He knew before two weeks ago he was done soon. This isn't something you decide in two weeks. He should have made this decision back in Feb/March.

But again, I don't blame him for retiring!
