alliance of America rules - no kickoffs, only run or pass on PATs, overtime from ten yards with both teams getting a chance, no onside kick instead a 4th and 12 from the 28 yard line, only 5 defenders can rush a passer, eye in the sky referee review, 35 seconds between plays, and a lot less tv timeouts.

Yea or nay?

I think most of the rules were done for safety. The 5 rushers probably makes it safer for the QB and was probably done to promote passing. However, in the first game last night the QB got NAILED - helmet flying off hit...

Referees basically have the same uniforms as the Birmingham team. Might want to get that changed

What I watched was decent. Haven’t seen Starter brand jerseys in a while. I think the regional players on the teams is a good idea. The head coaches they have are all accomplished in their own right. Have to think the no kick offs idea is smart. I do think when the XFL starts that it will become to much with nfl, this, and xfl.

I imagine you may see an AAF/XFL merger because yeah that may be an oversaturation.

Perfect situation in my opinion is add another 8 teams in big markets without NFL teams and see what happens. Maybe nothing, maybe something.

But seeing:

East
Atlanta
Birmingham
Grand Rapids
Hartford
Louisville
Orlando
Providence
Richmond

West
Arizona
Memphis
Oklahoma City
Portland
Salt Lake City
San Diego
San Antonio
St. Louis

would be intriguing.
