After last night! Are you boys starting to get that warm and fuzzie felling about Trinity?

Have to take into consideration who the undefeated team had played, and the fact that they are incredibly young. Lutheran is talented, but most of their best players are freshmen and sophomores.

The score doesn’t really change my opinion about Trinity. Their willingness to play a little tougher schedule does and that experience may pay off in the long run. Still too early to tell imo

Up until last nite that undefeated team had played one of the weakest schedules in the state. You kind of have to look at things like that.

And if Trinity had played that schedule, they'd probably be NATIONALLY RANKED! OH, they ARE!

And as an aside! In the immortal words of George Jefferson! Colquitt is a movin on UP, to the upper Eastside to a penthouse apartment in the national polls! We FINALLY got the attention of USA TODAY!

A LITTLE tougher schedule? How many OTHER teams in Missouri do you know, who will play one of the best teams in three states?

Lutheran North and CBC just this year come to mind. Webb has recently as well.
Not too many, though, which is the point. Many ridiculed their schedule last year and they went out scheduled some tough teams this season. It's certainly more than just a "little tougher schedule."

I purposefully understated the significance of their schedule upgrade for obvious reasons — a program with 20+ future FBS players on its roster shouldn’t be lauded for doing what they should have been doing all along with flowery language.

Yes, the schedule was "significantly" upgraded. But the significance of the upgrade can only be understood if put into context. I preferred not to dredge that up in my original post, and instead opted for flippant language.

As I stated in my post above, and have been stating since some of these games started being announced late last year, the schedule upgrade should help them. It remains to be seen. They haven’t won anything yet.

And that is also an understatement.
