It would be next to impossible to have a virus "under control". Viruses by nature aren't controlled. You deal with viruses rather than control them.That is why the shutdown movement did more harm than good. We simply delayed the inevitable.

Some will probably be ok but many will have issues from it the rest of their lives that don't show up right away. Like the 20 something gal with NO underlying conditions that had it and 'got over it', now she has had a double lung transplant. They are telling us and no one is listening, this thing attacks multiple organs and in some cases thickens your blood to the point of having strokes or serious heart issues. I hope it doesn't do these things to all that have had it but it IS doing it to many. I don't want it at 66 and I wouldn't want it at 26! You don't have to stay home but you can use some precautions for yourself and others.

Doctors said protesting shoulder to shoulder for weeks was an acceptable risk.

Statistically if you're under 60, with a normal BMI, and are already relatively healthy the odds of you dying are minuscule.

You throwing out one anecdotal story about a specific incident doesn't change the reality that this thing wasn't a big enough deal to shut down three weeks of protesting in HIGHLY populated areas.
