0. The Giants are ahead in this series one game a piece.

1. The Giants never swing and miss with two strikes------except the seven times they K'd last night.

2. The Giants brilliant at bats led to two runs scoring this post season on wild pitches------huh?

3. Bochy is a genius with the bullpen---other than the three bombs we tattooed them with last night in consecutive innings.

4. Tim Hudson is a stud at 39 years old and 9-13 for the season.

5. Bumgarner in unbeatable in the post season-----------except for that game he lost in the playoffs last week.

Last night was assume. The crew was wrong on about everything they predicted. One of my favorites, "the ball wasn't carrying in the cold damp air". Lol.

I especially like how Reynolds says every single thing that happens was planned to the T. Every hit the hitter knew exactly what he was going to do and did it. He's a piece of work. They've got Joe Buck doing it now too. He was much better with Timmy Mac. Acts like he has to sound as smart as the two bozos beside him think they are. Sad thing is he's sounding as stupid as they do. He's better than what we're seeing. With Tim there was no pressure to spit out stats and such. They could just shut up and let us watch and enjoy. Not these guys. They thing dead air is a sin I guess...

Well said. I really like the ESPN radio crew doing the game but Harold, Joe and the other bozo will not shut up.

Reynolds is a tool. Always has been, always will be. You act like you're suprised by this ducky.

I think putting all three of these dudes in the booth is bringing out the worst in Harold.

ESPN's highlights this morning made you think that the Giants won the game...until the showed the 3 bombs we hit in the late innings. If anything, I think the Cardinals head to San Fran brimming with confidence. We are just a couple of breaks away from being up 2-0 in this series.

I don't really get that feeling. I get the feeling that the Giants but multiple things together to get their runs, while the Birds bombed away. Might make it seem like the highlights favor the Giants because of that. I also think it's pretty clear the Giants have outplayed the Birds for two games. Long ball bailed them out last night. This Birds fan feels pretty good about it being 1-1. Could easily be 0-2.

I see it kind of the opposite. I don't see that the Giants are really out hitting the Cards much. How many Giant runs have come via Cards miscues? 2 in the first game thanks to Carp and Wong. Should have been a 1-0 game and if the balk is called it's 1-1 and who knows what happens. At least 1 last night and the first Cruz passed ball may have contributed to another. The Cards haven't played playoff caliber defense at all and are still tied up. They could easily be up 2-0.

Late inning comebacks are much more a possibility with this team than it was the the entire season up til September. The new confidence in not being out of it after the 6th inning is a must this time of year and now they know the Giants bullpen is not untouchable.

My take is that the Giants hitters really aren't that good. They play good fundamental baseball and if you give it away they will take it. But if we pitch like we are capable we win this series.

And if you watch the replay of Wong's at bat. The first pitch is called a strike and its the same exact pitch that Rosie kept throwing and the ump refused to call anyone out. If he calls the damn strike Rosie would have made it thru with no runs.

10-4 on that. Thought the exact same thing. He didn't get any calls at the bottom of the zone. I bet if Yadi was in there he would have. That's just something else missing without him. He's good with most umps and they generally respect his opinions.

Rosenthal couldn't throw 3 straight pitches near each other, in the strike zone, if his life depended on it

No umpire will give you a borderline pitch if you have absolutely no control. Does not matter who is catching

This dude didn't have the balls to punch anyone out period. Those were strikes. I don't give a crap where his other pitches were. You have taken the opposite side of every argument on this board. Credibility in question. You are the scout4u of baseball. And I don't even like st. Louis.

I enjoy listening to the games on ESPN. Just need a recliner out there since I won't catch a game for another three.

Runny those pitches were strikes so they count as being close. These umps are supposed to be professionals, especially the guys that get to call the playoffs. They should not even think about where the last pitch was, just call the call one they're lookin at. If he threw 3 to the backstop and the next 3 were strikes they should be called strikes. He made what most would consider perfect pitches at the knees on the corners and did not get the call. Personally I don't think he should be down there very often, they seem to hit his 98-100mph stuff when it's down there. He has to pitch above the belt with the heat and drop an occasional curve ball or change up just below the zone.

I agree with all three of you. That ump didn't want to ring anyone up on a close pitch even though those were strikes. Probably for the reason Cards said or because he really didn't have the guts to do it.
