Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s long-awaited report may not be as shocking as it has been built up to be - at least according to ABC News White House correspondent Jonathan Karl.

Speaking to host George Stephanopoulos Sunday on “This Week,” Karl said that he’s been told by sources close to the investigation that the report into Russian interference in the 2016 election and any possible collusion between President Trump's campaign and Moscow is “almost certain to be anti-climactic.”

"There have been expectations that have been building, of course, for over a year," Karl told Stephanopoulos. "But people who are closest to what Mueller has been doing, interacting with the special counsel, caution me that this report is almost certain to be anti-climactic."

IF Mueller has nothing at all on Trump it will pretty much seal his bid for a second term. The economy is going great, record low unemployment, ISIS pretty much done, Iraq stable, Iran back under sanctions. NAFTA renegotiated, confronting China on trade imbalance...…….

What do you mean by “got nothing?” Indictments, guilty pleas, jail/prison time. Please explain. If you mean nothing on Trump, at the very least, it shows all he does is surround himself with crooks.

The Special Council was appointed to investigate alleged cooperation between Trump campaign and Russia.

That is all that matters. Bringing charges against people for money laundering that happened ten years ago means absolutely nothing. Half of the representatives and senators in DC are probably guilty of the same things

Gawd, I hope the Mueller report comes up with something better than anything you said. Hell that would be like asking Mueller to do an investigation into the Clinton's and us finding out that Bill Cheats on Hillary and the Clinton foundation is a way for them to funnel bribes from wealthy donors and foreign powers. I'm pretty sure Manafort was THE guy in the campaign for months and they seem to have proof HE gave inside polling info to a guy that is known to be very close to Russia intelligence people. Why would he do that and why would they want it except to better target their interference in our election process?

The judge in the Manafort issue just ruled Manafort DID intentionally lie to pretty much everybody after his plea deal. Why does he keep lying about Russian contacts even after he had a deal that could have lessened his prison time? Who is he covering for?

I personally don't have evidence of anybody lying about anything but apparently Mueller had enough evidence that Manafort lied about Russian connections for the judge to throw out his plea deal. Maybe you can explain why he was giving internal polling info from the Trump campaign to Russians. I don't care one what or the other about this whole deal but it would be interesting to know why so many people connected to Trump and/or his campaign have felt the need to lie repeatedly about anything to do with Russians then they've had to backtrack and change their story 2 or 3 times once their was proof they did have contact with them. I don't know what I don't know about what Mueller knows and neither do you.

I still say wait for the Mueller report and I have said several times I doubt if any of this get all the way to Trump unless it's financial issues. The investigation into collusion was NOT just looking at Trump, it was to look into possible collusion by the Trump campaign. Looks to me like they might juts have that already but once again I say we know damn near nothing about what Mueller has on anybody that hasn't already been in court. I don't know why you guys keep insisting he has nothing because he hasn't shown his hand yet. Why do you even think he would be telling all he knows by now?

The committee doesn't have Mueller's information yet so they can; leak it. The ONLY time we get to know what he knows is from court filings and a few times somebody's lawyer has told reporters what they know. His investigation has been THE most closed mouth about their work than any I've ever seen.
