The absurdity of it to me is the way players move teams, it was going to get out at some point. That leads me to believe they had little fear of repercussion. Which to me MLB should have come down on them harder. Strip them of the title, MVP. It is the same as telling a defensive coordinator if the other team is going to run or pass before each play.
