Watching the "Concussion" trailer aired during the Dallas/Carolina game I fear the movie will devastate the game. The attack on our game will be in full bloom. I hope it's a lousy movie. The writer of the movie is a well known whistle blower that has made a fortune on these types of subject matters.

I was watching Spectre (007) last night and saw the Concussion trailer too. I thought the EXACT same thing! I love football, but this could be the starting point of a gradual decline in American football. I hope not, but I feel like it. That trailer gave me one of those uneasy feelings. Maybe the game we all love is takes a huge hit. ??

I read somewhere than Sony held some scenes out of this movie that would have been devastating to the NFL because they didn't want to p off the league/owners. So we are going to see a watered down version of the film.

No question permanent brain damage has occured in longterm head slammers. Sadly, some men are more susceptible. Prolonged careers of head bangers like Junior Seau, Mike Webster are well documented.
However, if you send a brain to a brain lab that's soul purpose is diagnose/study CTE, I think they are more than likely going to find what they want to find. I hate any hollywood movie that pushes fear and one side of the story. (Big NFL Corp Bad bad, Football players victims victims, fear fear). What's suprising is the number of college athlete's that have forgone the NFL because of the fear that they might get a concussion, not that they have a history of concussions. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the fear is influencing the decision to participate or not at the lower levels.

The younger you started playing football the worse the damage in many cases. Elementary kids bashing heads is just plain absurd.
