just looking seeing what next year could possibly look like

Closing Schools if they do
  1. St Marys
  2. Northeast (KC)
  3. Central (KC)
Moving to 8-Man
  1. Princeton
  2. Paris
  3. * possible Scotland County

Class 1 (61)-Lexington and Lathrop Moves down from Class 2

Class 2-(54) - Duchesne Moves Up to C2

Class (53)- Logan-Rogerville, Harrisonville, Winfield/Elsberry or Afton Moves down

Class 4 (53) Cardinal Ritter moves Up to C4, Ladue and Webb City moves down to C4

Class 5 (53) St Dominic moves up to C5, Vianney moves down to C5

Class 6 (32) Francis Howell moves up to C6

Linn starting varsity next year or waiting? Pleasant Hope coming back? O’Fallon Christian coming back? Heard they may.
Guessing St. Mary’s gives it a go as an independent. Not sure how long that will last but guessing they make it next year.

I hope one of two things happens next year: a) reduce class 1 to 48 teams and up class 6 to 48 teams. Or b) go to 5 equal classes.

And please seed the playoffs. Either 32 teams into 2 regions or final 16 teams into 2 regions if travel is a serious concern (which it shouldn’t be). I can’t handle another year of this class 3 and 4 right side of the bracket like this year.

I think it's possible that Howell gets moved back up to Class 6. I heard they missed staying in class 6 by 46 students. There are 32 class 6 schools. Howell was #33. I think Howell moving up and a team like Vianney or Hazelwood West dropping to class 5 would make class 6 more competitive.

Webb has their largest ever classes as freshmen and 7th grade before dropping back down in sizes so it will be close for them.

Hogan Prep on life support.

No seeding necessary. The playoff system serves its purpose, as is.

I don’t see them getting rid of the district format simply based upon tradition.
But I too would like a regional seeding system, similar to the way Illinois has it. Keep the MO points system for seeding (Illinois is only based upon W/L). To much luck is involved with the MO system as-is imo (agreed on class 3 & 4…).
