Yesterday an 84 year old woman and her husband were sitting on the porch of their home in a quiet south county neighborhood enjoying the beautiful weather. Her husband heard a gunshot but didn't see where it came from. He looked over to his wife and saw blood gushing out of her neck. She is dead.
84 years old. In a quiet , low crime area.

Thank god we had all those gun sales when Obama was elected. It is keeping us safe.

Safe???everything we do is dangerouse. You are more likely to be killed in a car wreck than ever be shot by a gun. If you want to make people safer do away with cars

Uhh...the government heavily regulates automobiles and driving for the exact reason you're describing. But, suggest similar regulations for firearms, and people like you go loopy.

Also, guns kill nearly as many people as cars in the United States. It was within 10% as of 2012. Why? Because we made cars and driving safer. The average American was once 2.5 times more likely to die in a car accident per year than they are now, even though the average American drives/rides more miles in cars than they did in the 1960's-1970's. And, the average American was once 15 times more likely to die per mile driven in the 1930s. We recognized our driving habits, our roads, and our vehicles were poor, and we worked to fix the problem. This is likely to continue to improve with our continued focus on automobile safety - the rear view camera mandate, for example.

You are presenting a good argument for gun control!

How does this instance have anything to do with your so called "gun nuts"? You have no context to what happened. Unless you're saying you want to ban ALL GUNS?

I still say bring in the military/National Guard. Post them on every city block in our nation's most crime ridden neighborhoods in our most dangerous cities. The good people in those neighborhoods deserve more protection than the receive. I would bet there are some days that more people are killed in St. Louis by guns than in Baghdad.

What happened when Obama was elected?
Gun sales skyrocketed because you gun nuts went bonkers. You gun nuts fight any restrictions, from background checks to required licensing or training. This innocent person died either because of a criminal who easily got a gun or because of an untrained idiot who was careless. More guns means more danger. More chances for accidents. Higher probability of suicide. More guns doesn't keep us safe. This woman could have been my mom. Congrats.

So whats the solution that you refuse to provide, that would have stopped this? Stop with the drama and provide real solutions.

If this was an accident say a squirrel hunter(although I doubt legally in this case) misfiring and a stray round coming into this poor lady. Do you suppose we ban all 22lr? Their is training already during the hunters ed course. What more do you want?

I already detailed what I would enact if given unlimited power in answer to Dangos exact same question in a thread this past week. I'm not typing the entire thing again bruh.
