Are the Cards primed for a collapse like the worry warts suggest or do they close out the division title over the next two months?

will wait until the end of the day because I think O has 1 more deal up his sleeve

I actually like this Broxton deal. Great guy to come in and eat innings. His arm should be pretty good to go.

Broxton is NOT an innings eater. He's a former closer, good for one or two innings.

Would assume Broxton serves nothing more than a bit of depth, especially given the uncertainty of Walden's return. Cisheck, Seigrest, and Rosie cover the 7th-9th obviously. Choate is the LOOGY. Maness is still the middle of the inning emergency guy. Villenueva is the long man. That leaves Broxton for the innings covered by SammyT/Harris/Socolovich combo. Can't imagine his roll is anything more than that. His stuff hasn't been anything special for a few years now. He's a LONG way removed from his dominant days with the Dodgers. But personally, I don't mind him in place of those other guys. Would assume he gets DFA'd if Walden makes it back before rosters expand.
