This begs the decades old MoSports question just exactly what is a Decade???I'm more privy to KC and the teams I think of are Blue Springs 2012-2013, LSW 2012-2013, Staley 2011, and Webb City I believe 2014-2015 (whatever year they beat Rockhurst 40-14). CBC 2018 lost to St. Johns by 10, who beat Hoover, AL 42-14, so it could be them.
I was thinking small schools as well. There's an argument that the '14 version was more dominant even with a loss. Either way, these two were the best of the 7.Lamar 2015

SHHHHHHH!Colquitt County has had some success this last decade.
Evan Boehm (now on his third team as an NFL center in Miami) and the 2010 Lee's Summit West Titans followed in close order by 2012 Blue Springs and 2017 Staley in the KC metro area assuming we are talking about the teens. Overall give me last year's CBC. THAT may have been the best HSFB team MO has ever seen..............I'm more privy to KC and the teams I think of are Blue Springs 2012-2013, LSW 2012-2013, Staley 2011, and Webb City I believe 2014-2015 (whatever year they beat Rockhurst 40-14). Question for the Valle Catholic folks: which of their championship teams was #1 during the teens?I was thinking small schools as well. There's an argument that the '14 version was more dominant even with a loss. Either way, these two were the best of the 7.
The one I want to mention is 2010 Penney. Aside from 'superteams', that squad was the most physically dominant Class 2 team I've seen.
I still thought 2012 Webb was better than 2014 although I do know the HC thought the latter was his best...............going to the C2-3 level that has to be one of the SEVEN consecutive Lamar titles. Which one I will leave to the Brotherhood to decide............Past 20 years these teams come to mind:
2014 Webb City
2003 Kearney
2012 Webb City
2018 CBC
2013? Lee’s Summit West
Mid-2000s Rockhurst
And would be remiss not to include last year's Blair Oaks.I still thought 2012 Webb was better than 2014 although I do know the HC thought the latter was his best...............going to the C2-3 level that has to be one of the SEVEN consecutive Lamar titles. Which one I will leave to the Brotherhood to decide............
I think their 2013 was the best.Lamar 2015
What a game it would be if we could put that 2012 WC team against the 2014 version.I still thought 2012 Webb was better than 2014 although I do know the HC thought the latter was his best...............going to the C2-3 level that has to be one of the SEVEN consecutive Lamar titles. Which one I will leave to the Brotherhood to decide............
I disagree. Not really related to this topic but Webb and Carthage would both be in the class 6 final if they had the same path as Joplin
Yes, Hamilton was so talented n physical that yeay, so well coached. Coached against them. Excellent team.I was thinking small schools as well. There's an argument that the '14 version was more dominant even with a loss. Either way, these two were the best of the 7.

1980 joplin parkwood best team I've seen in person. Of course that is an opinionEvan Boehm (now on his third team as an NFL center in Miami) and the 2010 Lee's Summit West Titans followed in close order by 2012 Blue Springs and 2017 Staley in the KC metro area assuming we are talking about the teens. Way back in that decade would definitely agree.1980 joplin parkwood best team I've seen in person. Of course that is an opinion
I would agree. The two best opponents Joplin has faced all year have been WC and Carthage. The margin of victory bears this out.Who would have beat them ?
Question for the Valle Catholic folks: which of their championship teams was #1 during the teens?
I got to witness the title game in the Dome in person...............vs. now Dallas brat Zeke Elliott.I'm kinda partial to Class 3 2012 Maryville Spoofhounds!

I am not doubting that all of those teams are great, but 2018 CBC could do whatever they wanted against anybody in MO I find it had to believe there has been a better team in last 15 years
Last years Trinity’s team was very impressive offensivelyyea its some recency bias but at least 2018 CBC was the best offensive team. They scored whenever they felt like it. That was at least the best offense that the STL area has seen in a long time.
It seems accurate both incredible Highschool teamsSo I put all the state championship teams from 2003 thru 2018 into Calpreps matching who it said was the best championship squad from each school from that time. So from Class 4-6, 2018 CBC is the best, followed by 2013 Blue Springs and 2014 Webb City. From Class 1-3 it was 2018 Trinity Catholic, 2018 Blair Oaks and 2003 Centralia. It had CBC 48-34 over Trinity. That's if you trust the algorithm to decide football games.
2015 I would go with Skylar Thompson and Fort O. 2012 LSW lost their superstar to suspension the prior game but wow they came out flat. I still like Blue Springs that year by the slimmest of margins over Webb. 2017 Staley could have hung with CBC but did (went to that classic in person) struggle in the title game.Or try it like this, Best team each year:
2010: Rockhurst
2011: Staley
2012: Lee's Summit West (Upset by Ozark)
2013: Blue Springs
2014: Webb City
2015: Blue Springs South
2016: Kirkwood
2017: CBC
2018: CBC
2019: Desmet
I would choose Blue Springs 2013, though them and LSW were pretty much even those 2 years.
Also (sorry I'm instant-ad libbling this morning) would put the reverse of the prior year in 2013. That Lee's Summit West team was spectacular.2015 I would go with Skylar Thompson and Fort O. 2012 LSW lost their superstar to suspension the prior game but wow they came out flat. Got tossed from the Parkview game for (this has been seven years so may not be exact) fighting after a play i.e. throwing a punch.Monte Harrison? Why was he suspended?
Also in 2017, I remember Staley having a pretty big lead in that game but let Pattonville come back exactly like they did in 2016 vs. Vianney. But Pattonville beat Vianney close who lost to CBC close, and Staley beat Pattonville close so you maybe right.
If you are talking the Bouchard dynasty years 2003 and 2007 should be considered. Here in KTown 2003 is the real obvious one. During the Jones years the best team was 2009 followed closely by 2010 and 2013. The 2015 title team was under the radar all year and won on one of the most improbable plays (fumble going into the end zone) you will ever witness.2005 Harrisonville sure comes to mind to me.
As an addendum very hard to put any of the Jones era teams among the best of either decade because none of those teams went unbeaten and the 10 and 13 teams lost in the C4 and C5 semis. If you are talking the Bouchard dynasty years 2003 and 2007 should be considered. Jones went 10-0 in his second year at Odessa. Then got bounced by Pleasant Hill in the playoffs. As an addendum very hard to put any of the Jones era teams among the best of either decade because none of those teams went unbeaten and the 10 and 13 teams lost in the C4 and C5 semis.
