It is really getting blown out of proportion. Coach Anderson is a very respected and well-liked coach, who made a mistake. He told his team, in a joking manner, to give the kid a punch in the arm for wearing another school's letter jacket to his practice. Yes, this was probably not a smart thing to do, but Coach Anderson knows that and regrets it. The kid came in the next day at school and apologized to Coach for his mother throwing a fit about it. He said that he really liked him as a coach. Then, you see the kid on tv saying he wanted the coach fired??? Believe me, I know this kid. He's not right! He lied so many times in the tv interview. He was NOT in a wheelchair 5 years ago. I knew him then, and he was fine! It's an unfortunate thing for Coach Anderson, but it's not nearly as bad as channel 4 made it out to be. His parents saw dollar signs as soon as they heard about it. That's why they are making such a big deal. They even took him to the emergency room and filed a police report! Tell me they weren't thinking lawsuit from the very beginning. It all makes me sick!!!
