3rd Qtr GDP Growth at 1.9%

Well since all of the “experts” had predicted it to be at 1.7% that’s a good thing isn’t it???
The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) reported the advance estimate for third-quarter (Q3) 2019 gross domestic product (GDP) came in at 1.9%, slightly higher than the consensus forecast. Real GDProse by 2.0% in Q2 2019. Forecasts ranged from a low of 1.2% to a high of 2.0%. The consensus forecast was 1.7%.

So as long as the forecast is low enough the actual result is, de facto, good?

1.9% is fine, the US is only going to grow at around 2%.
 
1.9% is not acceptable but, with the world economy hurting, the trade issues ongoing, and incessant impeachment talk, it's about as good as it gets. Considering all the recent attempts to talk us into recession, seems pretty good.
 
Let’s be real. Given the massive, reckless tax cut that Trump said would stimulate the economy, the huge spending increases and historically low interest rates 1.9% is weak and is a sign we have some issues ahead.
