3rd Annual William "Bill" Hanson Memorial Tournament Championship: (1) #3 Springfield Kickapoo 47 (6) Carthage 26 - Final

I think this would have been closer if the game was Monday or something. Hard turn around in less than 24 hours.

From looking at the box score Poo was missing some players. I know Kya Johnson was hurt but where was the PG Goldsby and the forward Turner? Two of the top three leading scorers for Poo in this game are freshmen who normally don’t play. Mathew and Muldoon rarely play either.

KSHSAA apparently requires that member schools charge additional fees for rosters under the guise that they are "programs" so I was unable to access Kickapoo's roster save from what I could find on MaxPreps as well as the roster from when these two teams met earlier in the season. "Goldsby" was announced several times, but this did not match up with her jersey number on Kickapoo's roster and that's what I was going by.

Johnson was out, Goldsby & Turner both played. Kickapoo was to quick & aggressive for a young team like Carthage. Not being aggressive and coming to the ball resulted in too many turnovers in the 1st half. Game over.
